Frankenconference.
Very interesting...
To engage whom? You? Because you have no friggin idea what contact they've had with the other conferences. All we can do is try and win games. Beating NC State is job 1. I’m supremely disappointed in UConn’s unwillingness to engage on this issue. We are afraid of our own shadows. Get out there and frigging sell the brand coast to coast. Cut some scheduling deals with the PAC 4. Hiding away in the corner is no way to advance out cause.
Because the state won't allow it. So basically they both go to the same conference or 1 goes to B1G & the other to the SEC or we stay where we areHow is the UNC/NC State dynamic any different than Cal/UCLA? They were allowed to split from each other into different conferences.
Do you not understand that each state may have different views on something like this? How is the UNC/NC State dynamic any different than Cal/UCLA? They were allowed to split from each other into different conferences.
Yeah that's nothing new, the UNC/NCSU dynamic is unique compared to most of the other instate rivals that split. So it we both go or we both stay
In fairness, exasperated would be a better adjective. I can't fathom how someone can't understand why a decision the State of California makes that affects two flagships isn't binding on a decision that another state will make between a flagship and a separate university.^Cranky BL
Please understand that each state may have different views on something like this.

Didn't the Virginia state legistlature force the ACC to take VA Tech due to UVA being in the conference already?
Doubt it. VT was a good productDidn't the Virginia state legistlature force the ACC to take VA Tech due to UVA being in the conference already?

Could not agree more! Things would be so much better if we had a collectivist system rather than a capitalist system. It is a simply reflection of the country. Everything we have is for profit or winner take all with other affected be damned. Whether it is health care or college education cost, it is all for profit. People and schools are just pawns to the profit making machines. Conference realignment is just part of the overall system so not sure why anyone is surprised.
100%1...Swarbrick's JD was Stanford Law...a homey
2...Notre Dame has been as complicit as any in the unravelling of college football.
100%
ND could save The ACC tomorrow by joining. They won't. Ever.
ND is pushing for the addition of Stanford and USC to The ACC, despite it serving no one else in the conference's interests but their own.
If people haven't figured it out by now, fvk ND. I hope they game the system all the way to finding themselves on the outside of it looking in.
