So what exactly is he saying in this tweet?
Are UofA and ASU on track or is ASU resisting?
I could see Arizona, Utah and us.If Oregon and Washington go to the Big 10, the Big 12 teams who can bolt will obviously bolt. I still think that fact that Yormark wants us more than say, Arizona St., has to mean something. We bring more to the table than a second Arizona school.
He is saying both. Makes it harder to be wrongSo what exactly is he saying in this tweet?

I’m reading it that they’re both going to big 12.So what exactly is he saying in this tweet?

ASU president resistingSo what exactly is he saying in this tweet?

Yes. We’d be 16 in that scenarioColorado and Arizona make 14. ASU makes 15, right?
If Utah balks, or if the Big XII decides that they're satisfied with BYU giving them presence in the SLC market, they still need another, no?
Edit: Dan and Bobby Hurley in the same conference is too juicy for anyone to pass up, right?
They could go divisions with:Yes. We’d be 16 in that scenario
Not sure about Miami.ND, UNC, UVA, FSU, Miami, Clemson all add value. This is further exaggerated by the want to condense the top end of the NCAA down to 2 or 3 conferences. If these 6 can make any amount more in the SEC or B1G, even if an unequal distribution, they seemingly take it as soon as the GOR ends.
The 9 remaining are 100% not stronger than the XII. They all beg the B1G, SEC, and XII for any path to get in, knowing that anyone who doesn't is doomed to the new G5 like Oregon St and Washington St.
But I certainly agree that the ACC should try poaching XII schools before the GOR ends as a last attempt at survival. Just don't think any XII schools answer the call. It seems like the XII is now safe UNLESS/until the B1G and SEC decide to destroy them by purposefully poaching XII teams.
Those tax breaks are going right into the pockets of Kansas St and UtahI said the bolded part earlier and got mocked for it. Why should the State continue to give these crooks hundreds of millions of dollars in tax breaks when they screw the flagship institution at every step of the way? It's disgusting.
… but please convince your counterpart at Utah to make the opposite decision? TIA.Hold fast to your principles Mr. Crow
.
The PAC is in a worse spot because there are simply less optionsSo is the big 12 and acc. What’s your point? The idea is to buy time until the sec and big 10 really want to expand.
Those two guys have it easy. They have no choices they have to make with their careers on the line. They just have to wait to see how things play out. Sort of like us.
Even if AZ, ASU & Utah all say yes?I still stand by UConn getting invited. Didn't think this would go into the weekend....but it's been wild.
Maybe, maybe not. As much as any school in the country, ASU is dependent on out of state students from one particular state. ASU might be willing to swallow far more than a $10M revenue difference to keep athletics in front of the California public. What is U of A trying to accomplish that is so important that the Trustees would tell ASU's President he doesn't know what is good for his university?I cannot see a scenario where two schools governed by the same board make disparate decisions as to which conference they play in.
Arizona State’s president can have all the doubts he wants, but he’s going where Arizona goes.
Can you please just let us know if this is a gut feeling or a source?I still stand by UConn getting invited. Didn't think this would go into the weekend....but it's been wild.
They could go divisions with:
East - us, Cincy, WVU, UCF, ISU, KU, KSU, OSU
West - Arizona, ASU, BYU, TTU, Houston, TCU, Baylor, Colorado
