Not hard to believe. Have to also wonder what other “secret grooming” has/is happening. New England and a good chunk of New York metro is an awful big carrot.
None.

No idea where he got that number from, but maybe it's a combination of the media rights (@$35?) money plus the CFP money (@$15M)?Haha they don’t have $50M per school to distribute. Stop it.

Just a guess, and yes, those figures are from memory if anyone has accurate numbers, feel free to correct them.

Agreed. I've looked at the actual data on ACC vs Big12 viewership and while I understand many people thinking bigger/east coast ACC markets would deliver more viewership and value to the ACC vs the smaller metro area Big12 markets, once you take out FSU, Clemson and whatever next two you want (i.e. the 4 most likely SEC/Big10 candidates), the Big12 carries more water. It just does. And with the ACC already having its own network and the Big12 not, there is more upside in the Big12. It might defy logic or emotions on here, but it's just the cold hard facts. Then, add to those facts that Yormark is a more astute and aggressive leader than Phillips and that the ACC is a band of unlike schools as opposed to the Big12 schools being more like minded, it adds up to the Big12 being more likely to prevail over the remnant occupied ACC.don't understand how people make comments like this. The ACC and Big 12 TV ratings are very close (Big 12 higher, but how much is the Sander effect?) and the difference in the media revenues is primarily the ACCN which we don't know how the network will perform as more people stream sports.
This is the worst possible result for Connecticut as I see Clemson and FSU exercising their veto against any attempt to add Connecticut to the ACCThe SEC has shown no interest in Clemson and FSU. They already have what those schools offer.
UNC is the only school that likely has a landing spot.

The worst possible result for us is usually the most likely.
I just don’t see Clemson and FSU in the ACC after 2030-31. B1G will probably take them. They’ve given up on caring about the academics. This is the worst possible result for Connecticut as I see Clemson and FSU exercising their veto against any attempt to add Connecticut to the ACC
I've stopped trying to figure this stuff out. Better, at least for my mental health, just to wait and see with a huge dose of skepticism.I just don’t see Clemson and FSU in the ACC after 2030-31. B1G will probably take them. They’ve given up on caring about the academics.
TLDR but UVA is a garbage football program. 0% chance they’re invited to sec or BIG and the big12 would take Lville and Pitt over them, Not to mention NC State and VTech. Do not reply with something about academics. if the BIG still cared about academics they would have taken Cal & Stanford. Both have better academics and football pedigrees than UVA.To me, there are a few ways the next round of expansion could go. The SEC and B1G could both end up with 20 schools or one could end up with 18 while the other has 20. Let's discuss the latter scenario
B1G drives a wedge in to SEC and ACC territory- UVA, UNC, GT and Miami. They can skip a stone across South Carolina.

That is my take too. At one time the Bug care about academic fit, but I think they would not take a highly rated academic institution that was not also a solid athletic one. And they would draw the line at a Louisville I suspect. But leaving Cal and Stanford indicates they aren’t taking Virginia.TLDR but UVA is a garbage football program. 0% chance they’re invited to sec or BIG and the big12 would take Lville and Pitt over them, Not to mention NC State and VTech. Hmmm, that would put them in the same boat as us...now if only someone in Clemson had the ability to critically think, see the forest for the trees, and decide to make their conference better by inviting (or at least not exercise their veto against) a high standard and better rated school with excellence in sports that would significantly complement their conference...then again, I'm a pragmatist and don't expect them or their conference to ever do anything that could positively impact us.Clemson’s biggest appeal to a P2 is as a plus one for someone more desirable and only exists if they are a consistent 10+ win team. If they go through a cycle of being good but not great (as they’ve been prone to do) their attraction to either the SEC or Big Ten goes from low to none.
it really would be amazing if Clemson were ultimately left out of the cartel. The P2 would each want to go to say 24 at least in order for the Big 10 to want to march down the entire Atlantic CoastFSU’s academics would be fine for the Big Ten. Notre Dame is their preferred #1, 2 and 3. Then North Carolina followed by FSU & (yes despite the athletics) Virginia. I’d be shocked if anyone else is on their list beyond that.

He's right about UVA being a trash football program. We may be at the stage where the Big 20 is looking to add more trash to create rivals for Rutgers. You do not have any clue how any of this works.
Regarding ACC going to 9 game schedule.
