Accrediting Organization to Decide Fate of Plan to Merge 12 Community Colleges into One

We dont have the money, the state is now trying to save 18 million by merging all the Community colleges to one. The Connecticut state university is next with mergers coming after the spring semester. Susan is very smart, she sees the handwriting on the wall and will never waste 10 million dollars in plain sight. There is a 3 billion dollar deficit projected for 2018-2020. UCONN will have a bull-eye on its back if the state perceive it as a bastion of waste. The biggest MBB donor is a big Ollie fan. UCONN is not that powerful as a public institution. It can't wrest money out of the state like they do in the SEC.
 
This kid is why we can’t fire KO mid season. We need our new coach to re-recruit this kid. I think a guy like Danny Hurley or another high profile coach can convince him to stay committed

UConn has performed below expectations across the board every year since 2014. We play down to competition and despite having the highest rated recruits in the conference, we never end up developing them into the best team.

KO can end up being a good coach somewhere, but his time here has to be running out. Changing guard while you have two studs coming off injury/redshirt is the best way you can assure that the next coach has some talent to work with. Hopefully Benedict realizes this and makes a move this offseason.

It ended up exactly where it should have - no better no worse in end result - the record yes was a disappointment but again it went as far as it could have

The kid has said he is coming here to play for KO !!!!

Plus he has blown up since then and other big schools are hot on him.. Recipe for heartbreak for us .. Have fun watching more Tremont Waters type threads about this kid at some other school.

I can't believe I have to walk you through this given how high your IQ is.

The decision makers regarding KO's firing have far broader considerations than message board comments, and are buffered from this website by several degrees of separation (i.e. interns and lower-level employees).

The decision makers regarding recruiting -- the recruits and their families -- do indeed visit this site directly (as confirmed by the people who run the place), and are much more likely to get riled up over comments people make here than university administrators.

Can we assume that everyone we're recruiting has already heard everything that gets thrown around here? No.

Akinjo plays for a quality program from what I’ve seen in videos this season They may not have the most talented players (besides him) but they are disciplined, patient and run solid stuff. I hate to be cliche, but he seems like a real leader.

100% of Husky Nation wants the scenario you envision.
90% appreciate that a new coach is required for this program to get back to national prominence.

The best case is for Akinjo to come and to play and learn under a coach that will get him and his teammates to reach their full potential.

The level of delusion on this board is mind-boggling. Anyone who criticizes our Dear Leader in a recruiting thread is rooting against the program. And random posts on a message board influence recruiting when there is a whole shady underworld devoted to influencing these kids. But I guess if you’re the last apologist, it helps to have an excuse (“it was the negative posts”) and a distraction (“people are rooting against the team”) if things go to hell in a hand basket this offseason again.

Do you think f encouraging players to decommit/ask for NLI releases in the hopes that it accelerates the timetable for a coaching change is the kind of thing fans should be doing?

Plenty of people have transitioned to rooting against the program because they think that continued losses on the court and trouble on the recruiting trail make a coaching change more likely. I am far from the only person infuriated that people who are doing both of those things are calling themselves "UConn fans."

The site administrators here confirm time and time again that recruits and their families regularly read this site. You have no way of knowing which negative whispers have hit any of these kids or their parents. Then again, your posts here strongly indicate that you hope recruits are scared off by what they read here so that the program bottoms out and cuts the cord quicker.
