Rothstein isn't the type of guy that would get duped, especially since he was first with the news. If that Stockrisers kid had it first I would be a little skeptical, but I trust Rothstein. We know that he is super well connected to Hurley and the program, it makes sense that Hurley told him to shush about it for optics reasons
....okay then
Looks like you’re not as good at being a Twitter detective as you think
....okay then
Was supposed to have ended after Ollie left.I've just accepted that fact that we're a cursed program now. We sold our soul for 2011 and 2014. Now we're paying for it
You realize, of course, that at this point, there are many hundreds (thousand?) of kids in the portal and very few of them have landed anywhere, so virtually all programs are in the position we are right now.I've just accepted that fact that we're a cursed program now. We sold our soul for 2011 and 2014. Now we're paying for it
These guys peddle bs all the timeI mean Rothsteins tweet said that Young told him he was visiting UConn...It came straight from the mouth of the player
YesHypothetically speaking, is there room for both Newton and Young though?
Unless Castle reclasses and is promised a starting spot, yes. The lineup would likely be Newton/Young/Hawkins/Jackson/SanogoHypothetically speaking, is there room for both Newton and Young though?
Right now the answer to any question that starts with are there minutes for X is yes. Until we have 2 guys commit there's room for anyone without worry*Hypothetically speaking, is there room for both Newton and Young though?
I'm sure Hurley would take both, but I don't think we could guarantee both of them a starting spot and that may be a sticking point, unless we want to go pretty small with Jackson at the 4.Hypothetically speaking, is there room for both Newton and Young though?
If we see our name connected to any center I'm gonna poop my pants. I'll be so scaredRight now the answer to any question that starts with are there minutes for X is yes. Until we have 2 guys commit there's room for anyone without worry*
*Of course not a 5 but we haven't reached out to any so I'm discounting that
That starting lineup, with Castle backing up the 1-3, Karaban getting minutes at the 3/4, and Johnson and Clingan in the frontcourt would be a pretty solid roster.Unless Castle reclasses and is promised a starting spot, yes. The lineup would likely be Newton/Young/Hawkins/Jackson/Sanogo
We can’t even have a 5v5 practice with walk ons involved at this point.Hypothetically speaking, is there room for both Newton and Young though?
From a fan perspective, yes there's room. I'm not sure if those two really want to share the ball that much though. Hawkins still needs his touches too. Assuming we get Newton, we need a couple of good guys that can shoot and defend, but they don't need to be 15-20ppg guys like Young.Hypothetically speaking, is there room for both Newton and Young though?
This entire board is speculation and it's all pretty much ridiculous. But I thought the concensus was that Hurley called Rothstein and asked him to remove the tweet so as not to offend Floyd? Are you saying that everyone's ridiculous speculation was incorrect??!!
In which case, good luck keeping SJ here.I'm sure Hurley would take both, but I don't think we could guarantee both of them a starting spot and that may be a sticking point, unless we want to go pretty small with Jackson at the 4.
We have one guard on the team and zero point guards, there's room for 4 guards.Hypothetically speaking, is there room for both Newton and Young though?
We'd probably still need to pick up another guards just incase of an injury. But it would be someone who is a project and not guaranteed anymore than like 5 minutes a game. I doubt we could convince a BE caliber guard to come ride the pine since apparently every player in the country thinks they deserve to be a starterThat starting lineup, with Castle backing up the 1-3, Karaban getting minutes at the 3/4, and Johnson and Clingan in the frontcourt would be a pretty solid roster.
No offense but...I think I'd rather take my chances of having no guards instead of him
Do you have any idea as to how many fan bases there are that would give their eye teeth to be cursed the way we are?I've just accepted that fact that we're a cursed program now. We sold our soul for 2011 and 2014. Now we're paying for it
....okay then
There's tons of playing time for everyone, why is playing time an issue only at UConn? Trevion Williams was first team Big 10 and came off the bench, there's studs all over coming off the bench. There's no set minutes for you whether you start or don't start. In which case, good luck keeping SJ here.
lol I know..I overrreacted. Gaff was awful this year.No offense but...I think I'd rather take my chances of having no guards instead of him
