Chong with a nice drive and floater, 35-26

This is the worse I have seen us look in awhile.

Nice fast break bucket by Gabby off a nice long outlet pass by Butler. Hit her around halfcourt. UConn, 39-28

The only good thing I've taken from this game so far is Natalie Butler's outlet passes. ESPN just made a point of talking about that one that led to the Gabby layup but Natalie had 2 in the first half as well. She does a great job of rebounding and throwing long outlet passes. That could really lead to easy baskets as the season continues.

Butler's got a predilection for long, aggressive outlet passes that many UConn players on this roster don't have. They haven't all been effective or safe, but it's something I don't mind seeing attempted, regardless.

Some positives.... Saniya playing well; Gabby looking more like the November version of Gabby; Nat Butler showing promise as she gets more into game shape.

Anyone else finding the game announcers even more irritating than the game score?
No...What is wrong with the game score??? Nice that folks will watch the entire second half for a change. That and a conference foe's staff knows how to get a team up for us! :)

I've had the sound off since early first quarter. Awful.

Geno talked earlier this week about the problems typically caused by using, or having to use, a multiplicity of player combinations. Prophetic.

Awesome steal and breakaway layup by Gabby
