Interesting. I'm dealing w a 4 lb metloaf.
BAHAHA! I was waiting for that!
That is a very common reaction until people try them. With all due respect, yuck!
If my wife uses it for anything other than cold meatloaf sandwiches on rye, she's outta here. My favorite cold sandwich. Favorite thing to stick in the cooler when I'm heading out in the boat. Favorite thing to snack on late at night when super was just a teaser. My wife chides me for making huge meatloafs for just the two of us. However, once you have the meatloaf, there are hundreds of things you can do with it besides simply having the same dinner again.
And that's why (besides the taste) I never put ketchup on top of a meatloaf. Because once you do that, you're severely limiting its utility in other recipes. You can't hide ketchup.
When visiting grandparents in northern Adirondacks Michigans were the shizz.
We have ourselves a bigassed...Growing up in a large family, hot dogs were a staple in our house. My mom made many different meals with hot dogs but this was a family favorite.
Stuffed Hot Dogs - Butterfly hot dog, spread roquefort blue cheese in the middle of the hot dog, line baking dish with stuffed dogs, pour ragu tomato sauce over hot dogs and bake for 30 minutes at 350.

In a thread full of W.T.F from people’s childhoods, this might take the cake.My dad had some crazy ideas. One of them was to cut some hotdogs in the shape of Lincoln logs and build a hot dog house.
This place is called Gene's Michigans. In Port Henry. There used to he a truck off Exit 30 of the Northway that sold Michigan’s.
Probably the best in the North Country is Croghan Bologna from either Eddie’s in Harrisville or Croghan Market in Croghan.
Miller’s on Number 4 Road in Lowville has many the best jerky (beef, pork and venison) and maple bacon you’ll ever have. Their donuts may be the best I’ve had - cake donut and i was very surprised how good it was.
Only the finest tube steak for your granddaughter I see.My 5 yo granddaughter suggested to my daughter that they get take out from the most expensive seafood restaurant in their town. When they asked what she wanted... a hotdog.
Dude... She's not even my granddaughter and I'm offended. I get the joke but it's creepy.Only the finest tube steak for your granddaughter I see.

Glad to hear it.I think it’s pretty clear that was in absolutely no way meant with the connotation you’re assigning it.
The only context I've ever heard it with Is the dirty one. They actually call it that in places and times. I don’t think it was meant dirty at all.
I think you may be confusing it with this:The only context I've ever heard it with Is the dirty one.
And you have to admit, his turn of phrase can be very easily misconstrued.

I grew up with 5 older brothers. I had no choice in the matter. You hung around the wrong people.
My first experience with the term was when we bought the hot dogs they served at the 7-11 back in the 70s.
Come to think of it maybe I hung around the wrong people.
