Imagine if Jalen Hurts tore his achilles in the 4th qtr of a 100% completely meaningless game.

if that's the thinking you don't play Hurts at all. You don't pull him at that point and play a qb that had zero chance to do anything but turn the ball over. The only way the Eagles were scoring in the 4th quarter was on defense.

Maybe Pederson was trying to avoid making history in a bad way. Perhaps he didn't want to be part of the first division in history to be won by a 6-10 team.

I'm a Giants fan, I wanted a playoff game, screw the draft position.
Better yet, none of us is Nostradamus. All you ever want is to be in position to win the game. Suppose you play the Bucs and Brady goes down with an injury? Stranger things have happened.

Jones is so much better than Dalton at this point I stopped reading right there! Lol

I know..We should have drafted Haskins instead..We would have been so much better now. Jones had cleaned up his turnovers in the last few games and took care of the ball much better. He was injured and played in a game that he shouldn't have been in at all, but his game had improved 85-90% of what it was early on.

Haskins? You can sign him now if you want.

As if it's never happened before.

Tale of two teams in Washington. While the defense has been fairly good all year. They flip a switch depending on whether Smith (5-1) was under center. Haskins isn't even on the team anymore.

Interesting division going forward. Prescott will be back for the cowboys that's got to be worth a couple of wins, Riveria is a good coach with a solid staff and the owner finally got out of the way they are an improving team. Don't know what to make of the eagles who prior to this year were always tough ,they'll probably be improved from this year and bring back some of that Philly grit. I believe the Giants overall are in a good place in this division. Stability in coaching and I believe they found there guy in Judge. Need to hit on the draft combining with a free agent or two. They have some good players and team definitely improved over the course of the season. In this division other than a healthy Prescott you have the best Quarterback, its a process and he's moving forward contrary to the other Quarterback in town, Imo your in a good place at that position. I'm a patriot fan and we never had to be worried about that position for 2 decades and all of a sudden we got nothing, Cam tried but his best is far behind him. If we could have Jones tomorrow I'd take him. I was hoping it would work out for my Giant friends on the board and get in the playoffs. Close guys.

Not really. Mediocre at best. They had a good defense and a chance to win more games, but couldn't get it done. Be that as it may, WFT is more deserving of the playoffs than the Giants. They were tied at the end of November and NY held the head-to-head tie-breaker. They proceeded to spit the bit.

Of their 6 wins, The Giants won 5 games by a total of 16 points. That cuts both ways. You are what your record says you are.

ahh, the hypocrisy of the ny media. the same guys who slammed the jets for winning are now slamming the eagles for losing. you can't make this stuff up. truth is, the giants are a bad football team and had no business being in the playoff. sure, last night looked eggregious but can you blame them? the 6th pick is far more valuable than the 9th.

2 of the Giant wins were against the team that is going to the playoffs hence why many still felt they deserved it just as much. But who cares no one deserved anything in the East. Would love to see Washington beat Brady and the Bucs but that would ruin the next weeks match ups.

And by virtue of that very tiebreaker, they'd be in the playoffs if they had won just one more game. They did not.

As Eagles fan, thanks. You pretty much nailed it. I’ve been saying it all day. This is pretty much the first time I’ve even seen the Eagles have a “tank” situation. Some teams stink to the point in which they “tank” regularly. Also, need I remind Giants fans of how they got Eli Manning?!?!? And the “integrity” of that gangster maneuver?!?!?

Why doesn't the NFL just go the ping pong ball route to avoid this nonsense? The whole Trevor Lawrence watch was embarassing quite frankly. Maybe they will ping pong it up as a response to this.

Take the 20 non-playoff teams, give the worst record 20 ping pongs and the best non-playoff team 1 ping pong. Make a night out of it. It's the NFL for god sakes. Even their NFL lottery drawing will draw crazy ratings. This is a league where some people act like the world has to stop when they release the next year's schedules.

It’s one thing to signal before the game that you’re gonna rest players, or take them out after a couple of series.
But I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team gag and fold like a cheap suit that late in a very close game. You’d think if anything the Eagles would love to stick it to the WFT, on principle alone. Misery loves company so if I gotta go fishing, you gotta go too.
It was a chickenspit move and bet the players weren’t too thrilled about it. Pedersen lost a lot of respect in that locker room.

Again, I’ve never seen the Eagles have a “tank” situation. The Giants just recently “garbaged” their way into Jones and Barkley. Also, I see you neglected to mention the “cry baby” sorcery that landed the Giants Eli Manning. Please stop Giants fans. The Eagles need to rebuild and for once they decided to settle for a better pick. Boo Hoo. You have teams that have been doing this annually and forever. It was about a better pick and not the Giants “Tom Brady” Prom. Get the receipts and take the gowns back.

Win more games

How long will G-women cry this off-season. You won 6 games, 1 against a team with a winning record. Stfu. You’re not good, hence you’re drafting 9th. You want to make the playoffs - here’s an idea ... win more games than you lose.

why are dolphins fans not crying? They’re home with 10 wins because Steelers sat Big Ben.

Really not that many Giants fans are mad about this just pointing out the Eagles tanking like everyone else is, it is what it is. Im glad the Eagles did this, its good for the Giants and bad for the Eagles. Of course its no ones fault except for the Giants, thats one motivating factor, control your own destiny. Now will have extra motivation to beat the Eagles twice. You wonder how this will affect the Eagles locker room, would upcoming FA wanna play for Joe Judge or Doug Peterson.

Definitely, JJ. He’s proven he can win 6 games while DO has only won a SB and been named coach of the year.

oh, and to be clear, the view is eagles tanked to move up 3 spots in draft? If that’s the criteria - who else “tanked” by losing 1 game. Bengals? Panthers? Broncos? 49ers? Steelers?

To be clear, I wish hurts finished the game. I’m not sold on him and wanted to see him in a tight game. But a team out of contention using the last game to evaluate players is not uncommon.

You need to stop whining about how deserving the g-women are after a masterful run that saw them win all of 6 (or 37.5%) of their games. If u wanted to make the playoffs, take all that integrity crap and win 7 frigging games. How did integrity in football get hijacked by losing teams and teams refusing to play?

Tell me more about how important it was for the Eagles to evaluate Nate Sudfeld before next year
