Hoping our two Native Daughters see plenty of minutes tonight - and that another Native Daughter joins up this Clempsun gameday

Fingers Crossed-no Birdie Tweet -but it could be to not ruin her announcement ceremony

I would like to see Eniya Russell get some run at PG to see what she could do..
.. She is not as fast as Destinee but I wouldn't want to take Littleton fron the SG spot.

Gotta' admit that I'm nervous.

I think she was the July birdie but Dawn is not Dabo and does not demand that "commits" stop visiting others. I think Ashlyn is really torn between the two Universities of Carolina. Hopefully, the very public nature of the announcement in Columbia - from one of Dozier's players - indicates that the hometown fans won't be disappointed.

I hope, I hope, I hope.

I think we can conclude for sure that Dawn doesn’t post birdie tweets w/o the recruits consent or request. Talaysia appparently wanted Dawn to chirp not long before she announced, Ashlyn’s came after the cap was donned.

No IMO ..the birdie tweet was in June. I honestly think she nor Cooper were silent commits. Why? They both had their official visiti after Coach Staley's Birdie Tweet.... Watkins really considered the Tar Heels so it was not a slam dunk. It has to be a 2023 recruit. Now if we can go back and get Tuthill in 2025 and maybe Groot in 2023...from Cardinal Newman....

I think Groot has moved to Connecticut

She was not the birdie from June. Dawn tweeted the birdie tweet for Ashlyn after Ashlyn announced. That June birdie is still unknown.

There is a poster on another board that keeps saying the unknown birdie is Arnold. Not sure why, but it's frequent enough to make one wonder.

.-.
She got "meaningful" though sparse minutes against NC State and was inserting early against South Dakota. It was clear that Dawn was getting her ready to contribute this year and carry a burden next year.

Bree Hall is the frosh with the most minutes and appeared in both games. Dawn has declared her "ready" defensively and she looks pretty good offensively
Sania Feagin is more than ready, offensively, but Dawn says she's not quite ready, defensively. Bree Hall is definitely game ready. We'll know more about Saniya Rivers when she's fully recovered from her concussion.

13,363 at the game tonight; it was a nice crowd for the week before Thanksgiving.

Feagin was shot out of a cannon when she finally got in. I think she should have played earlier with the game out away, personally.

Coach I guess was honoring upper class deep bench but Feagin needs time, imo.

Well dagnabbit. Why must she torture us so? Why can't she go ahead and let the June tweet be for Watkins, and then let the one she just did, be for someone else? Then we won't keep suffering over one single tweet...... Head bang

Few random thoughts:

Clemson was 0/16 from the field in 2nd Quarter. I wasn't sure if they ever make another bucket at one point. That's one of the worst outside shooting teams you'll see, so at least it seemed.

Destiny Littleton is shooting 29% from the field, 15% from three. That's problematic from your offense only reserve.

Saxton's expended offense hasn't shown itself and Amihere is playing pretty well. I'm not sure Saxton will forfeit her starting spot, but minutes?

Beal looks more comfortable offensively. It hasn't been dramatic, but it's there. Hopefully that will stick and co tinge to expand.

Henderson is really playing well.

Boston's minutes and scoring are eyebrow raising 19mpg, but she really is playing well too. Another one whose decisions are hard to fault most of the time. Converting those layups is still an issue but decision making is great.

Wow!! Maybe its been posted already but I cant believe the cakewalk UConn has to the Championship Game for the Battle 4 Atlantis Tourney 11/20 -11/22. They open up against Minnesota>Play the winner of a depleted Syracuse team and USF..then head to the Championship. SCar has to play Buffalo [a really good mid major]+ the Winner of Oklahoma and Oregon [No Cakewalk as Oregon is a top 10 team and OU is a proud tradition. Wow!!! Talking about getting a break...

It’s ok. If Dawn wanted a cakewalk of a season she would have scheduled a bunch of cupcakes. UConn already plays so many teams they just have to show up for - I don’t think the tournament schedule does them any favors. Regardless of how it goes we will get some good games in that’s only going to make us better.

Syracuse was probably supposed to be the 2nd team in that bracket. Not quite Oregon but formidable.

That said, Oregon is currently down two starting guards, both of them all-Pac12 last year. Not equal to the UCONN "cakewalk," but it's certainly not bad luck for SCar.
