Can the Jackrabbits pull off the upset?
Can the Jackrabbits pull off the upset?
I'd like to know what was said and, more importantly, what precipitated it. ASU is not a trash-talking team, not even close. Those kids are very high character. From Twitter @tbhorka
Arizona State head coach Charli Turner Thorne just issued an apology to Mississippi State. Apparently, an ASU player said something she shouldn't have to an MSU player after the game. First I've heard of that. Turner Thorne said she is also going to text Vic Schaefer an apology.
I watched SDSU dismantle Syracuse and they are no pushover whatsoever. In fact they nearly beat Oregon in Brookings back in December, led in the 4th quarter before Oregon closed strong. Please no. The Pac 12 needs something to go right tonight.
If we can get by Oregon we will see a dream matchup, McCowan against Brown! That will be exciting.McCowan is a great college player. I just don't see her intangibles and current skill set being truly successful in the WNBA outside of rebounding and shot blocking. She does have a nice little hook shot but never uses it really. Brown, while I am skeptical of her at times has range shooting the ball and has post moves. I think she is much more valuable IMO
Not trying to take away from McCowan, I really do like her but she has to develop post moves if she wants any chance to be successful at the next level. But in terms of college, she is fine.
I agree Brown has more upside because she has a few post moves and the mid range shot. My only thing with her is she didn’t improve much from last year and her mobility as a big. The bigs in the W can get up and down the floor pretty quickly.McCowan is a great college player. This was a ridiculous statement.Well, Vic clearly got the refs in his pocket for this game. Every time an ASU player breathes on McCowan it's a foul. Ruden and Elenga just fouled out one after the other without any time going off the clock.
Not from my non-homer perspective. I watched those alleged "fouls," and to say they were weak would be an understatement. This was a ridiculous statement.
I don’t think so, she looks very similar to last year. She should’ve dominated the Big 12 and won POY.Did she improve at all? I know her minutes were less than last year but her production was way down.
I've been reading your biased BS (in my opinion) all year because I agreed MSU had not played a strong schedule. That ended tonight. We dominated a good team. See you Sunday. Not from my non-homer perspective. I watched those alleged "fouls," and to say they were weak would be an understatement.
McCowan has no post player moves, every thing she does is off rebounds and putbacks. I think both her and Brown will have a tough adjusting to the W.
You should go back to six pack kiss assI don't really see it either. I'm also not sure she possesses the mental toughness to make it in the WNBA. She's been money for us though. Just her rebounding alone gets us through some stretches.
Once again, dude was fouled and no whistle.Whoa @triaddukefan , how many games are your boys gonna barely eek out in the Tourney?
Indeed! Just by her being tall, it affects EVERYTHING other teams are able to do especially mentally. Then there’s Howard too, so the opposing team gets NO rebounds. I’m so glad we didn’t get a 1 seed and y’all didn’t the get 2 seed in the same region like the 1st bracket reveal that was announced.I don't really see it either. I never said "you" (i.e., your team) didn't dominate, and I never said ASU wasn't a good team. They're the 5th-best team in the Pac-12, after all. But still, just a 5 seed, and not a top 12 team.I've been reading your biased BS (in my opinion) all year because I agreed MSU had not played a strong schedule. That ended tonight. I'm sorry that my posts haven't been to your liking. After your cohorts were so disrespectful early in the season, I decided I wouldn't hold my tongue.
And I hope that the Duke men's team gets a foul called on them in crunch time. Some things just aren't gonna happen.Random thought...
I hope Notre Dame loses tomorrow
