Maybe because there are two prices.....with and without UConn. Maybe they want to wait until the summer is over to announce which price will be in effect. They seem to not be disclosing the money. Makes me think it’s not that great.
Exactly-Peacock starts its coverage up a year earlier than the rest of the deal including the early part of the tournament
Max wouldn’t be exclusive like peacock though. It would be simulcasting what’s on the turner TV networks.Interestingly, there’s not one, but two different streaming services between Peacock and Max (particularly in light of one of UConn’s concerns being the inclusion of streaming in the past (it’s actually good they got over that, just interesting), I hadn’t seen Max listed as part of the deal previously.

Estimates of the value of the new agreements see the conference nearly doubling its annual rights payments at a range of $75 million to $80 million per year.
Well now, thats a far cry from 14 to 15 million a year now isnt it?Sportico reporting the estimated values is 75-80M annually (6.81-7.27M per school).

Big East Renews With Fox, Lines Up New Rights Deals With NBC, TNT
The Big East Conference has inked a new package of six-year media rights deals, re-upping with lead partner Fox Sports while bringing on NBC Sports and TNT Sports in secondary roles. Yeah, whoever reported that the overall deal would be close to $1 billion needs to have a better grasp of the concept of close to.Well now, thats a far cry from 14 to 15 million a year now isnt it?
I hope this is correct.Max wouldn’t be exclusive like peacock though. It would be simulcasting what’s on the turner TV networks.
You know depends on the numbers. If it's less than 8 million per team per year, she needs to go. if it's the estimated 12 to 14,000,000 per year, she knocked this out of the park. This is awful.
Set up a firing squad for Val.
She needed to go years ago but if the little that's being reported on the money is true I can't even wrap my head around what an idiot she is. This is beyond sad. This is awful.

Please share where you see $4.2M in 2022, seems extremely low.The financial terms have not been disclosed yet, so I hope that the avg payout/term is higher than $6.8-7.2 million/Team.
The Big East's 6/30/2022 tax return shows that UConn received roughly $4.2 million, which seems mostly related to current media deal, $6.8 - 7.2 million is an upgrade.

One source suggests to Front Office Sports that the league will see an increase of around 30% to 40% on the average annual value of the current deal. The existing package averages about $41.7 million per year, so the future deal could be worth in the $55 million range annually, divided among the league’s 11 schools.
Front Office Sports cities sources saying it could be closer to $4.93 - $5.31M per year per school.
