He’s talking about Depot Campus aka Mansfield Prison aka Mansfield Training School
Isn't that a protected historical site? That's why nobody can touch it with a 10 foot pole with all the expense that would go into restoring the buildings.

Sometimes Stats matter:

There are some things you can control in a game and some things you can’t.

The ones we can control we are in Top 15.

Fewest Penallties and Fewest Turnovers.

If you don’t turn ball over and don’t take constant penalties you put your team in a position to be competitive in just about any game.

That’s what we’re seeing this year.

Coaches take a lot of grief when we lose with playcalling etc. but this one they can take credit for. It shows a certain discipline they’ve instilled in the players to lead in these categories. Kudos to Coaches.

I guess I missed the “Fagnano should be benched” comments. Or was that in the chat in prior games?

On here I have only seen people questioning his accuracy at times…but I don’t remember the “bench Joe” posts on here.

Oh..and it says something about this board when the team has a great win and some posters use this as a time to tell other posters to shut up.

Can’t we just enjoy the win?
Agreed this is an attempt at some drama where there is none.

Joe looked like NFL QB yesterday and when Evers came in - he looked like backup.

BUT I want Evers to continue to get reps because let’s face it, chances are he’ll likely be our starter at some point this season if Joe gets hurt. We need him to step in and lead.

Look at Syracuse, it’s like their whole team gave up because their starter got injured - that can’t be us.

ALSO, Loved to see the FROSH from Virginia. He looked electric - the future may be here - we’ll see!

What I saw was flawless execution a team who meant all business for 60 minutes. Making it a point to end it early then finish the job with the backups and 3rd stringers going into the bye.

Playing like a team that was pissed off from the 2 OT losses, and even the 2 games we won against Ball State and Bufffalo. We all needed that kind of game the fanbase needed it and the team neeed it.

FIU isn't good but they are not horribly horrible. Let's get guys as healthy possible going into the bye but stay sharpe and don't lose your edge. Don't let the bye take us out of it.

I think we can all agree we appreciated the number of times the defense didn't give up a score or a long drive after a UConn score.

Haven't seen this elsewhere in this thread but looks like the kid from FIU with the scary injury is in the hospital in stable condition.

What I want to know is where did it happen and how. Did anyone see it? For that matter what happened?

Of all 3 coaches today, I’ve been impressed on how Sammie continues to to put our players in position to succeed, even rewarding certain players with play calls and opportunities to make memories on offense
Much better this week by a bunch. The ball was distributed much better. The wideout screen was used sparingly rather than as a staple. There was more intermediate pass routes in play. Still runs sweeps into the short side of the field with regularity which makes me nuts.

Opening kickoff... FIU kid basically got run through. Long delay before he got carted off straight to a hospital.

The team that played yesterday has a good shot at beating BC at Alumni and a decent shot at Duke at home.

Being very physical out the gate at BC might just cause them to fold their tent given the season they are having.

Agreed. If the week off doesn't slow their momentum. Never like that week off just when you start to hit your stride.

Oh, I very much agree!! The first thing I said was who the heck is that? Followed by Holy Smokes!!

A rare day at the Rent with no wind. Chris freeman put all his kicks in the endzone except one. We had a punt rush get a tipped ball ( by Teddy Williams) to help get better field position. The turnovers created all game helped stymie FIUs offense. Our offense did its thing at a high rate. We mixed up the playcalls to use the whole field and the talent we have at wideout and RB. Joe F had a number of great throws and it's not like there was no pass rush either. Pass pro will be real important when we face the Eagles in 2 weeks.

My impression walking in was there there was a massive tailgate turnout because of the weather but a fair portion didn't bother with the game because the weather was so nice.
No surprise with a fair number of non-football fans tailgating on a supposed Homecoming inconveniently occurring at an off-campus stadium. Is what it is, many also wouldn’t go into an on campus stadium.

Large area of land. IMHO, there’s NFW a prospective stadium developed on land near the ex-Mansfield Training Facility buildings would incorporate buildings unoccupied for decades. IIRC, all are decaying structures and some are rife with asbestos.

I had a great experience at the game yesterday. UConn played well but in section 225 the fans were great as well. No drunkeness and obnoxious fans made for a real good time. First time for having that experience in a long while. Maybe the trouble makers are all on the other side of the field :-)

The Delaware coach said his team had their best practices of the year leading up to the UConn game. Interesting, no?
