Great win. FIU is a really, really bad team -- but we did what we were supposed to against a really bad team and then some.

I hope all the people who want Fagnano benched will finally shut up.

Wish we could put more butts in the seats - a win like this will help!

They were 2-2 and beat FAU before the game. Bad but not bottom of the barrel.

I guess I missed the “Fagnano should be benched” comments. Or was that in the chat in prior games?

On here I have only seen people questioning his accuracy at times…but I don’t remember the “bench Joe” posts on here.

Oh..and it says something about this board when the team has a great win and some posters use this as a time to tell other posters to shut up.

Can’t we just enjoy the win?

On a side note…CBSSN continues to be much better than ESPN+. They weren’t perfect, but at least it felt like a professional operation.
There multiple shots of showing the crowd at various points in the game. I don’t recall this happening in the past.

Feels like they have commentators that actually know who the players and coaches (outside of Mora).

They were hyping up Bell too.

Of all 3 coaches today, I’ve been impressed on how Sammie continues to to put our players in position to succeed, even rewarding certain players with play calls and opportunities to make memories on offense
ehh.
He did what he absolutely, unequivocally, SHOULD - against a crap FBS team.
I wouldn't let the good feelings of today mask over the nonsense we've seen in critical situations this year.
This game was comfy from the start, so he never had to break out the chessboard and actually play the mindgame that sets truly good OC's apart from the crowd. He is in the crowd.

EDIT - GS did well today. I don't mean to take that away from him, just trying to contextualize the offensive performance with who we played today, vs our prior collapses & lack of creativity. We just beat up a bad team, "scheme" genius wasn't the x-factor, where it might have been against cuse & delaware.

There have been people asking to start other QBs and develop them since Joe is gone next year. Some were even pining for Welliver to come back. I know Joe isn’t flawless, but he has gotten way more hate then he deserves

But I agree, not worth arguing about. Enjoy the win and let’s build off this momentum into a big one with BC

You mean you missed the “we should try another QB’ posts?

Or that one guy who says that Joe doesn’t go through a progression? Last I checked he completed passes to six different receivers today.

I can’t help but think there has been dramatic improvement on defense. We were almost always where we needed to be.

The offense is so much better with Joe willing to run. Wasted plays are now 5 yard gains. If Joe had run a few times in our losses we’d be 6-0.
Honestly loved seeing Brock get in their faces late in the game despite being up 41. That is the type of fire we need from our coaching staff. Don't let them settle for good, strive for great! Quickest way to fix flaws
