I only caught parts of the game because I was in RI at my kids softball tournament. Did they pull Joe and give Evers significant time? Or just a drive? I heard most of the 3Q but was hoping they’d let Nick play the whole 4th. Did that happen?

Overall looks like a solid win with all aspects finally clicking!

No. Evers got a drive or two and then Farrar played a drive. Evers came back in for one more short drive after the defense had an INT. And then one more drive with less than a minute.

Chris Parker contributed at WR today. Not sure if he has played earlier this year. Ar Right guard, Tamarus Walker got a series in the 2nd qtr and looked good. Not only a big win, but more players in the mix.
Finally, the time out at the end of the game so Soren Rief could get a 2nd carry shows how special Mora is and how lucky we are to have him!

Hehehe, you are talking about a part of the game when most of us were not keeping track of who played how much. I remember suddenly realizing when they got the ball back, Evers came in and got a first down and then the drive stalled. He must have played more downs than that though, I recall the Neider play, but he threw incomplete. And I remember Farrar came in, and I said who the heck is number 8 (and had to look him up)? I was impressed by his seeming confidence and his throwing mechanics. But overall by then I was talking to my wife and keeping the binoculars on the play of both lines.

Keep up the intensity suggests there was some intensity in the first half.

Maybe the last three minutes people became a little louder but it was pretty weak overall for what I’ve seen at the Rent.
Crowd at the Rent shows up late and leaves early.

Tough to get people to stick around to the end of a game like today, obviously. But we do have an atmosphere problem, IMHO. UConn knows it and you can feel them working on the gameday experience.

My impression walking in was there there was a massive tailgate turnout because of the weather but a fair portion didn't bother with the game because the weather was so nice.

Went to the game - great tailgate, beautiful day and then went inside and watched complete domination. Crowd was into it and loud until it was out of hand.

It’s not on campus which obviously isn’t ideal for college, but if we ever get into a major conference with a competitive team the Rent will turn into a great NFL style game day experience. The tailgate scene is great as it is. Just hard to get amped up for FIU and the like.

Evers got to run a modified single wing offense. It was interesting that we spent any time on learning that...

If we ever get into a major conference and have some staying power I guarantee we end up with an "on campus" stadium. It might not be right in the middle of campus but it'll be within a mile (like the prison area)

On a side note…CBSSN continues to be much better than ESPN+. They weren’t perfect, but at least it felt like a professional operation.
Strange comment, so let’s try again. CBSSN is produced by CBS Sports. College games on ESPN plus, mostly, are produced by the individual schools. CBSSN hires announcers. ESPN plus the announcers are found and paid by the school. And, CBSSn is available on cable, satellite and streaming, while ESPN Plus is only streaming.

There is not a comparison between these two things. It’s like writing that New Haven pizza continues to be better than frozen supermarket pizza. Yes, it’s true, but why do you think you need to point it out?

This year. The women's bball announcer who didn't know anything about football was awesome but not in a good way. Would still take it over ESPN+
LOL. She was not renewed. I guaranty you some exec at CBS Sports lost his year end bonus by allowing that to happen. I think she does play by play for the Washington WNBA team.

I knew someone like you would call this out. We all know how the games are produced..thanks for the lesson. Here is the bottom line…cbssn is better than espn+. That was my point. I was just making a point that you feel is obvious…and that’s ok…just move along.

You would think after a nice win..you would chill a bit…but @businesslawyer gonna @businesslawyer

Didn’t look too far off from 30K.
But, it wasn’t a quality 30K.
No juice, no intensity, and somewhat pre-occupied with something other than the game.

I think that was the only fault today. Maybe it was the heat. team was clicking, defense was making big plays, and offense was moving ball in big chunks. Crowd barely seemed to care or take notice. Was like a bunch of people hanging out and someone had game on in the background.
There are a certain amount of people who just come to homecoming to meet up with old classmates.

What prison area is within a mile of the Storrs campus?

Sadly wasn’t able to watch but based on the box score and the comment thread, we finally played a complete game and definitely had our best game of the season

I don’t care about the talent level. We had a lesser team on the schedule and we ended the game early. That’s what good teams are supposed to do

Congrats Coach Mora on 100 wins!
