Loved what I saw today. Team just played with swagger. I said in last week's post game thread, maybe almost blowing it then pulling out the W late against Buffalo would get the monkey off everyone's back and they would play more loosely this week. I'm not sure if that was the reason, but they definitely looked more comfortable out there today. Perhaps the most comfortable they've looked since week 1. On both sides of the ball.

Think we finished with 3 picks and 2 fumble recoveries? Should've been 3 fumbles we recovered, but that one fumble the runner was deemed down and there was no review. Was awesome to see the D force turnover after turnover. I hope we can keep it up against BC.

Neider has really come into his own, really nice to have guys like him, Murphy and Porter behind Bell. Was great seeing him and Rosa make some big plays today. CT boys giving "Mr C-T" a run for his money today :)

So many more positive things to say. Think I'll wrap it up by saying this is probably the best possible way we could've gone into the bye week. Go in on a high note, practice hard for 2 weeks, then go grab the ACC road win we missed out on earlier in the year. We've got this!

Great win. FIU is a really, really bad team -- but we did what we were supposed to against a really bad team and then some.

I hope all the people who want Fagnano benched will finally shut up.

Wish we could put more butts in the seats - a win like this will help!
In all seriousness, are there actually people who wanted Fagnano benched???

I know we've all had our complaints about what we wished he did better, but i thought it was a foregone conclusion that he was the best QB in our locker room...

You mean you missed the “we should try another QB’ posts?

Or that one guy who says that Joe doesn’t go through a progression? Last I checked he completed passes to six different receivers today.
Not sure why you are trying to take a victory lap when last year you were on record saying Welliver should be the starter and that we were a 4-8 team.

On TV 28k looks about right
Didn’t look too far off from 30K.
But, it wasn’t a quality 30K.
No juice, no intensity, and somewhat pre-occupied with something other than the game.

I think that was the only fault today. Maybe it was the heat. team was clicking, defense was making big plays, and offense was moving ball in big chunks. Crowd barely seemed to care or take notice. Was like a bunch of people hanging out and someone had game on in the background.

When the game is over at halftime it is tough to keep the intensity up.

This FIU team lost to Penn State by 34.

Keep up the intensity suggests there was some intensity in the first half.

Maybe the last three minutes people became a little louder but it was pretty weak overall for what I’ve seen at the Rent.

Never said that. I said the team believed in him. And the team was wrong.

The Boneyard has finally taught me the difference between a fan and an analyst. What is that difference? An analyst is a poster who likes the sound of his own voice more than he likes "his" team.
It's a long season yet. Btw, the term is fanboy.

Loved the endorphins on offer for the taking today. As I said before on another thread, we stayed to the very last snap to take in the ambiance of a huge win, when somehow the spread was only 7.5, with the few stragglers still left, basked in the unseasonably warm air of the early evening on the way back to the Aircraft Club and the quick unimpeded exit as one of the last cars to leave on the lot. But I also have to say that there are days ahead later this season when the opponent is of a different calibre and most of us will be here again gnashing our teeth on the day after. And if you looked closely today you could see the seeds of things that better teams will certainly exploit, at least more consistently. But far be it from me to harsh your mellow or deny you warm feelings. Enjoy.

I only caught parts of the game because I was in RI at my kids softball tournament. Did they pull Joe and give Evers significant time? Or just a drive? I heard most of the 3Q but was hoping they’d let Nick play the whole 4th. Did that happen?

Overall looks like a solid win with all aspects finally clicking!
