Love her demeanor also but that footwork is truly elite even by WNBA standards. She is really going to be hard to cover in the UCONN offense.

There was definitely excitement but our post play has been such a concern over the years so I’m excited to kinda sure that up with Ice.

UConn coach Geno Auriemma was in Fort Wayne today to watch senior commit Ayanna Patterson.

: “They watch my games on TV, but to come all the way down to Fort Wayne, it shows a lot of love and it really means a lot."

I see Ice as getting some time at power forward also. She can certainly play the post but she is 6'3" and maybe we can alternate Ayanna and Ice as power forwards with Dorka and Edwards in the post. Ice's passing ability may be so good though that she ends up as our best replacement to Liv. I can see her as a solid high post.

I think Brady and Edwards will match up well for practices and scrimmages.

Patterson and Griffin also.

I hope they come in with the attitude of the 21 freshmen.

Jenica is in the 8th grade! The number of offers she has already received is mind-boggling.
I remember a few years ago that I read USC had offered a QB from Delaware in the 8th grade.
I thought that was absolutely nuts then and still think it is now. I love to follow recruiting but I do wonder if this is defined as 'progress'.

BTW...strictly FWIW...Jenica last year said that she had a 'dream school'....yes it was UConn.
The article does mention that UConn has started to show interest in Jenica...does NOT mention an offer from Geno.
Let's see... Geno is 67..would be 75 when Lewis graduates from college. I'd be delighted to sign for 8 more years from
Himself before his retirement.

BTW#2: should Jenica wind up in Storrs, she would have a one year overlap with KK Arnold [class of 2023]...and heavens knows who else she would have overlap years with [hopefully] elite 2023 kids...2024 kids...2025 kids.

This guy writes for the Indy Star but I can't figure out his tweet. UConn obviously has no recruits on the East coast.

He could mean POI but then why say "another" after referring to Geno watching Patterson.

I am guessing he does mean a POI and not a commit...but there is that possibility of a verbal portal type 2022...or even a verbal commit from an underclass kid...say from 2023...I DO regard eastern Pa. as 'somewhat' on the east coast...was Ciera playing...maybe right on the east coast???
