As someone that grew up in Pennsylvania, the fact that CT residents complain that we need games at the XL Center so it's easier for people to get to the games just makes me laugh. Penn State is in the middle of nowhere. People all over PA have season tickets to Penn State football games and drive 3+ hours for every game to pack a 110k stadium. Should PSU decide to split their games between playing at the Eagles and Steelers stadiums because that's where the majority of people in the state live? My family made the 3 hour drive many times when I was growing up to go to games.
They should renovate Gampel and play all games there. We're one of the top programs in the country, we should be playing on campus. If the same number of people won't come to games, expand the student section. Louder is better anyway.
