Wow! Great day all around. Atmosphere from the T ride in through the entire game was fantastic. Big crowd. Loud. Nice to see UConn Nation turn out in force. So proud of this team. I really wish there was a "next week" to keep this feeling rolling. To all the players and coaches a heartfelt thank you. Kind of feels like the weight of the last 10 years or so has been lifted.

And a shout out to my kids. It's nice to share this experience with them. Doesn't happen every day. Hung around Boston for a few hours after the game. Hit a few spots. They even bought the old man dinner. A great day indeed.

It was obvious Rosa wasn't in a groove. Ran too hard in to every hole instead of letting play develop.
Regardless, he starts the off-season #3 on RB depth chart and that's a good thing for RB depth.
Yes. He has banged into his blockers in past games. He obviously was hyped today and tried to outrun his blockers. Still, a gamer.

Delete UMass (their decision)
Don't really mind losing that one at end of year (11/29). Concerned about filling the big hole in October - both 10/18 and 10/25 both open, as is 11/14. Need two games. I'd guess one of the Oct dates would be a bye week.

P4s still needing a 4th OOC game: Pitt, SMU, Stanford, Notre Dame. You can also add Oregon St. and Washington St.

Other FBS: Kennesaw St., Air Force, So. MIssissippi, Louisiana-Monroe.

I know FBsschedules.com have schedules for every FBS team for the next few years. How are you able to find these teams that have vacancies in these dates so quickly? Is there a certain link within FBSschedules.com where you type dates or something?

Hey CTMike!!!

I've missed you, bro. Hope all is well. It's been a really great day...
Likewise man. :) Still around, just not posting as much… picking spots to get to games. Glad to be at this one!!

In Europe, so didn't get a chance to watch the game (though I set my Comcast to record it, hopefully). Saw the results around midnight local time and was sooo frigging pumped!!! Headed to the BY to get your reactions. What a great present for this team!

"Quickly" is not an accurate description. I just clicked on each team and looked if there was less than 4 OOC games (3 in case of B12 and B1G) scheduled for 2025. And I didn't check if open dates lined up with ours.

The fact that it happened at FENWAY just amplified the heck out of it. New England's baseball shrine. I personally followed the same path as DKG from Ebbetts Field to Fenway in 1967. This felt like The Impossible Dream year.

Half the Fans were about 10-15 minutes late getting into seats. But it's a timing improvement over the Rent

Apples and oranges though. 11am kickoff, many fans traveling in to Boston that morning on a busy Mass Pike, or parking in unfamiliar areas or riding the T, etc. Not all of us frequent Fenway nor the surrounding areas much. All things considered, the fans were awesome yesterday!

The fan bus charters got there a little late, but were packed and incredibly convenient. Props to UConn for arranging them.

Random question but if anyone bought an extra Fenway Bowl pennant they don’t need, I would love to buy it and would be eternally grateful…..
Try EBay

We will get BC @ BC in October, per your favorite BC Alumn.

In person, really amazing experience. Was dubious about fenway as a football venue, totally wrong about it. Atmosphere and crowd was great. Would recommend that we get a tie in contract with fenway going forward as I doubt we can find a better bowl spot for us.
After yesterday I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to do that. We nearly doubled last year’s attendance and BC was playing in that game

Fair point

That was one hell of a good time. Fenway sight lines actually work well for football - monstah seats were awesome, helping unfurl the huge American Flag for the anthem was a treat.

If I were to pick nits… did ANYONE find any decent bowl merch? A souvenir? Anything? Eh whatever I took lots of pics.
My nitpick was beer variety. Swill and IPAs were the only choices. Was flabbergasted that they didn't have a basic Sam Boston Lager, and that the Sam Adams Deck wasn't open.

The guys selling beer in the stands in our section had decent beer, not IPA and not swill. I was pleasantly surprised. They were also doing hot chocolate and clam chowdah.
