Don't really mind losing that one at end of year (11/29). Concerned about filling the big hole in October - both 10/18 and 10/25 both open, as is 11/14. Need two games. I'd guess one of the Oct dates would be a bye week.

P4s still needing a 4th OOC game: Pitt, SMU, Stanford, Notre Dame. You can also add Oregon St. and Washington St.

Other FBS: Kennesaw St., Air Force, So. MIssissippi, Louisiana-Monroe.
We will get BC @ BC in October, per your favorite BC Alumn.

In person, really amazing experience. Was dubious about fenway as a football venue, totally wrong about it. Atmosphere and crowd was great. Would recommend that we get a tie in contract with fenway going forward as I doubt we can find a better bowl spot for us.
After yesterday I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to do that. We nearly doubled last year’s attendance and BC was playing in that game

Apples and oranges though. 11am kickoff, many fans traveling in to Boston that morning through a busy Mass Pike, or parking in unfamiliar areas or riding the T, etc. Not all of us frequent Fenway nor the surrounding areas much. All things considered, the fans were awesome yesterday!

The fan bus charters got there a little late, but were packed and incredibly convenient. Props to UConn for arranging them.

That was one hell of a good time. Fenway sight lines actually work well for football - monstah seats were awesome, helping unfurl the huge American Flag for the anthem was a treat.

If I were to pick nits… did ANYONE find any decent bowl merch? A souvenir? Anything? Eh whatever I took lots of pics.
My nitpick was beer variety. Swill and IPAs were the only choices. Was flabbergasted that they didn't have a basic Sam Boston Lager, and that the Sam Adams Deck wasn't open.

The guys selling beer in the stands in our section had decent beer, not IPA and not swill. I was pleasantly surprised. They were also doing hot chocolate and clam chowdah.

Like Levy's or Aramark chowder? I cannot imagine ordering that, except as a handwarmer.

Merch sucked and they clearly did not anticipate a crowd this large. They sold it all.

People would have paid through the nose for those Fenway Bowl bats the team had.

So, most of you know that my crew represented with 20 people. Then my nephew & his girl friend also went to the game. Most of us stayed over until today so that we could celebrate last night with dinner in the North End. My daughter, Son-in-law, & 8 year old grandson had to get back to Southington last night. They got on the Green Line T to Riverside. Up came a player who saw the grandson's Husky ski hat & asked him if he enjoyed the game. The player THEN presented a UCONN game ball to the youngster. My grandson is now Victor Rosa's biggest fan...

I was surpised how smoothly it went for us, we were a late addition to the spectator roster. There was a pretty bad 3 car accident on the Mass Pike where we entered coming on from Rt 84 right at the service area. One car off into the center hill. Probably shortly after 8:30 AM or so. That was the only traffic we had and we purchased a parking pass online the night before, a short 5 minute walk.

Boston - If you go to Boston.com there isn't even a mention of the Fenway Bowl. Such a bizarre town.

No shots of Billycheck
He had nothing to do with the game.

I don't think he was even originally planning on being there and rightfully so. There will be plenty opportunity to put his fingerprints on the program. No reason to take the focus off what the current class accomplished.

One thing I worry about is not being able to get into the game because my low-end smartphone conks out, or because they can't scan the barcode on my display for whatever reason. This has been an issue for me at Rentschler Field this season. I really prefer paper tickets, and they weren't an option yesterday.
