And sometimes Y, my friend. The idea that one game appreciably moves the needle is nutz.
It is another bullet point for the resume but nothing changes overnight.

I agree. It was a great showing for the in front of their biggest national audience in years. It does damage to the "UConn doesn't do football" narrative. But it does nudge the needle. The only thing our independent football team can do is nudge the needle little by little.
Getting tie-ins to Fenway and Pinstripe would be amazing!!!In person, really amazing experience. Was dubious about fenway as a football venue, totally wrong about it. Atmosphere and crowd was great. Would recommend that we get a tie in contract with fenway going forward as I doubt we can find a better bowl spot for us.
just googled marcus - he's class of 2011 only, which puts him at around 35 years old.LB Amare Campbell's dad was DE Marcus Campbell from Bloomfield (played under RE1.0).
...and so will New York! UConn Nation - From NYC to Boston and everywhere in between! Can't get over the attendance by UConn fans. Outstanding showing. This wasn't a tickets sold number, it was actual Fannie's in the seats.
You have to imagine Fenway will do everything it can in future years to bring UConn into the fold.
You goggled wrong… Marcus Campbell was Class of 2007: Marcus Campbell 2007 Weakside Defensive End Connecticutjust googled marcus - he's class of 2011 only, which puts him at around 35 years old.
amare is a sophomore, which puts him at around 19 years old - so that means marcus had a kid at 16 years old?
Too funny! That reminds me of the one time I had seats on the 50. I can't tell you how many times the ball was placed behind that protuberance on the hashmark.Foul pole or 1st down line?![]()
no, i didn't.You goggled wrong… Marcus Campbell was Class of 2007: Marcus Campbell 2007 Weakside Defensive End Connecticut

Holy cow. Marcus Campbell has kid in college?LB Amare Campbell's dad was DE Marcus Campbell from Bloomfield (played under RE1.0).
Looks like your eating one of those Ugg boots. Lol.Great game- great trip. Stayed at the Hilton Park Plaza Friday night, nice Italian dinner with the wife. Breakfast at the hotel on gameday. Took the E Green line by accident (didn't know any better), so went out of the way a couple of stops and had to double back. So, like many others, we were 15 minutes late. Missed the first field goal drive. Had great seats in field box 15 (except for the foul ball net- not sure why that was necessary). Crowd was AMAZING. Yelled too much- no voice today. As already mentioned by another poster, the cheer when the dude hijacked the mic was tremendous. Hope that's on video because it should be sent to every Power conference front office (and the BCU AD just for laughs). Stayed for the MVP's and the trophy presentation. Joe and Price highly deserving. Decided to forgo the crowds at the stadium bars- Green line back to the hotel. Hung around the Commons- beautiful night- Chinese dinner then pastries and coffee at Tatte overlooking the Commons. Perfect end to a fantastic day with my beautiful wife. Up Sunday morning, found a terrific Brazilian bakery in Somerville- Pastelaria de Somerville. Had coffee, pastel de queijo, bolinho de aipim, and an ENORMOUS biscoito de povilho:

Then headed home!
Hope there is a replay of the game- would like to be able to break down the play more.
Congrats to the players, coaches, and Husky nation for a great season. The stink of 10 years of suck is largely washed away.
Looking forward to even greater success from Coach Mora, and to planning our next bowl trip!
medic,Did you even attempt to read the bio in the link you posted??
though i don't have the evidence to say this is not true (yet), i find this hard to believe given the research i have done on this gentleman (dad would be 35, son would be 19 appx). someone else on this thread noted the actual UCONN Father-Mother / UNC son combo that was being discussed during the bowl game. forget the names but it's up in this chat somewhere.Holy cow. Marcus Campbell has kid in college?
Indeed. Much tastier, I promise. With a coffee nothing better. And it's made from yucca starch so its gluten free!Looks like your eating one of those Ugg boots. Lol.
I never claimed he graduated UConn in 2007 - he was recruit Class of 2007. His career was cut short by injuries and other issues.medic,
sry if i'm blind but i'm not seeing what you're seeing.
the uconn site literally says 2011 football roster, and shows stats on this gentleman from AFTER 2007, which is when you claim he graduated from UConn.
YOUR screenshot (not mine) says he signed to UConn in dec 2006, which makes no sense if he supposedly graduated uconn in 2007.
are we arguing about the same thing?

It was, indeed,Beau Atkinson that the announcers were talking about...though i don't have the evidence to say this is not true (yet), i find this hard to believe given the research i have done on this gentleman (dad would be 35, son would be 19 appx). someone else on this thread noted the actual UCONN Father-Mother / UNC son combo that was being discussed during the bowl game. forget the names but it's up in this chat somewhere.
We sat in one of the Roof Boxes, terrific seats, however Pesky Pole was right in the middle of our sight line. Still was a great day!I gotta say those roof boxes are not bad at all for football. OTOH, the Monstah seats look terrible. You're a mile from the field.
Both Marcus and Trevardo Williams were high State level sprinters in HS who became great DE’s for the zHuskies. Randy and crew identified talent. You goggled wrong… Marcus Campbell was Class of 2007: Marcus Campbell 2007 Weakside Defensive End Connecticut

Without research, this looks right to me. I think he spent the bulk of his career backing up Trevardo Williams at WSDE.medic,

Was he behind the LOS on that play because both benches were on same side of field? I can't remember but I think it was the refs goof similar to the NC QB not finding the play clock a few times because of the less than normal configuration. Not an excuse as the refs should always be aware but I bet it was a factorThe refs did a poor job when Mora tried to call a timeout as well. Those two examples are all that I remember.
I sat on the Monster, actually great seats, but so far removed from the crowd, you kind of felt removed from the mojo.I gotta say those roof boxes are not bad at all for football. OTOH, the Monstah seats look terrible. You're a mile from the field.
