[NC is the largest state without a BiG or SEC school.
It also gets the BiG closer to recruiting hubs and future population growth. Traditional BiG country is a declining share of population, wealth, etc]
Texas or Florida would be better media markets for the BIG to get into. Recruiting and future population growth.

Now I was confused by the shirts UConn had for being Fenway bowl champs, now shouldn't it just have UConn on the shirt for being champs and not have UConn and UNC on the shirt? It was the same exact shirts you see selling in the stands of both teams on it.
The reason they have t-shirts with the winner so quickly after the NCAA's is because they print shirts for both teams and send the losing shirts to Africa. I doubt they are making two different batches for the Wasabi Bowl.

Cheap bastards and yes I get it's not the national championship. Well let's see what shirts the winner of the pop tart bowl gets.

No I didn’t miss that. My point was it was late in the 4th Q when they were down 3 scores. Running it a bunch of times and eating up clock to score 1 TD was not a major issue at that point towards our goal of winning. If they had switched to that strategy earlier in the game, I pretty much guarantee our D would have adjusted & shut it down.
They ran the same wildcat plays in the 2nd qtr and got stuffed.

We needed a signature game like this. For all of us who suffered from at least 2010. No further analysis from me. We lingered in the stands for a long time to savor the moment.
I can't like this enough. Through all of the suffering and sticking with this team, this win felt even better. This win is for all of those players who have poured their hearts into this program through all the down years since our glory days under RE 1.0.

Oh and @KryHavok We are back to being Kings of New England!

They gave UConn a warning. I'm almost certain I've seen this before- a crew throws a flag to stop the clock and discuss as a group and then just announce it as a warning.
I'm almost certain I seen them tack on the 15 with a chef's kiss. "So, you think we screwed you on the first flag?", I think I lip read once.

Well how about that? Was hoping for more scoring in the 2nd half, but a 9 win season - well done! Super happy for the team and for the fans!! Proud of the team!!!

Enjoyed the comment early in the 2nd half from one of the announcers - "a pair of blue blood basketball schools going at it on the football field", or something like that...
Two blue blood basketball schools playing football in a baseball stadium (in a hockey town).

Redemption today. All these years as a season ticket holder. Lamenting over what the kids have gone through. Myrtle Beach Bowl disappointment...
And now this. Redemption. Glory. And a positive feeling moving forward. Today was electric. Never even needed to turn on my electric heated socks or gloves. We didn't even need our rain paints...we never sat once.
I will remember this game as the turning point. I'm sure of it. So happy to spend a cold, wet day surrounded by loud and proud Huskies. Can't make this stuff up.

Couple of observations/thoughts:
1. Kudos to Joe Fagnano. Without him none of this was possible. If there was ever a fine point put on it it was Evers’ RPO at the 4 yard line. Just horrendous throw that was almost intercepted.
2. Rosa is a tough kid but is not in the same league as Cam. Cam has excellent vision and finds holes.
3. Yates should be a beast next year. Inspired ball. Will miss McDonalf. He is all over the field.
4. I wish Bell would stick around. He can have all success he needs right here in Storrs. But, I suppose breaking in a new QB isn’t ideal.
5. With a solid QB, next year should be a good one.
6. It’s been a long long time with a lot of pain over the last 15 years. That makes this win all sweeter. Couldn’t be prouder. The CFB can’t help but take notice.

Can’t wait for next season.
