It would have been a much closer outcome if the change was made in the second quarter.UNC 2nd half game plan was very effective. Implemented it too late.
You may have missed the five plays that their wildcat qb ran through our D for consecutive first downs each play, that resulted in their next touchdown. This after bringing a passer. Had they woke up in the first half, a much tighter game. What game plan was that? I got the feeling we were just burning clock. That 4th quarter TD was pretty meaningless
We may already have our answer to that on the roster. Cole Welliver is still on the roster with a red shirt and HS numbers through the roof.Need to land a passing QB. A must.
Could've, should've, would've,It would have been a much closer outcome if the change was made in the second quarter.

Texas boy, what more to say.
The place was pretty much packed except for some seats that out in left field. Definitely was Storrs North.Surprised it was not at capacity of 36,000. It looked like there were more people than 28k at the game.
I second this completely. We needed a signature game like this. For all of us who suffered from at least 2010. No further analysis from me. We lingered in the stands for a long time to savor the moment.
Is that why he was so hot that one time? I never figured it out.The refs did a poor job when Mora tried to call a timeout as well. Those two examples are all that I remember.
No I didn’t miss that. My point was it was late in the 4th Q when they were down 3 scores. Running it a bunch of times and eating up clock to score 1 TD was not a major issue at that point towards our goal of winning. If they had switched to that strategy earlier in the game, I pretty much guarantee our D would have adjusted & shut it down.It would have been a much closer outcome if the change was made in the second quarter.

If we had competent reffing all season we would have at least 10 winsThe refs did a poor job when Mora tried to call a timeout as well. Those two examples are all that I remember.
The Big12 had better be paying attention, because I know that the ACC is paying attention and their basketball needs some help too...
On tv it loooked like we were mostly defending the pass at that point. If they want to use up 4 minutes down 3 scores have at it. We were set to keep them from getting 6 quick ones. Plus we had stopped that attack earlier. No I didn’t miss that. My point was it was late in the 4th Q when they were down 3 scores. Thanks, they picked up that 2nd flag? That was a pro move by the refs.Yeah. UConn got called for a delay of game and Mora got hot with the side judge for not giv9ng Mora a TO. Mora was all over him and then the side judge threw another flag. Looked like the referee played peace keeper and kept it as a sideline warning instead of a 15-yarder.
Belichick would likely have been roundly booed by the Boston crowd, and he may have wanted to avoid that being the headline on the game story. Finally got a chance to write. What a game! The Huskies stomped the Tar outta those Heels! Simply dominant, no other way to say it. I think we played the clock game in the second half- UNC found a little burst but they were simply outmatched overall. Could have been way worse for the Heels.
Someone on the Yard theorized that Belichick’s absence today was because he knew what was about to happen. I think that theory was accurate. What a win for this program and for the fans that have been waiting almost a decade and a half to return to our old glory. Go Huskies!! Can’t wait for 2025!!
We snuck out there in the second half because our section next to the UConn band was so tightly packed. Turns out two of those empty-looking upper deck sections (I think in right field) were closed off so that TV cameras set up on the steps could operate unencumbered by spectators. The place was pretty much packed except for some seats that out in left field. Definitely was Storrs North.
We started the third down howl on progressively earlier downs. That was an absolute beat down and that's putting it very litely. Being there in person no video does it justice just how loud the crowd was on defense, got the line to false start multiple times and got UNC to call a 2nd half TO. UNC QB was afraid to get hit, on that 4th down play I believe he just dove as he did not wanna get hit and failed to get the 1st, believe he would've had the 1st by a full yard.
Loved the play calls safe throws and a god mix of runs, didn't like the Evers call to put him in on 3rd and goall, but I do believe it was evaluation period for Mora and was trying to keep Evers engaged, and reward him a bit for not jumping ship which he could've done as other college qbs did.
We Kings of New England again!!!What an amazing performance. The final score doesn't reflect how badly we dominated that game. Man, what a season. I said at the end of the season that the next evolution was to beat a few P4 teams, well here we go!!
Was kind of pissed that all they showed at the beginning was crap about the BB hire but UConn showed them that it was about them today.
What an amazing win and an awesome way for the outgoing Huskies to finish their careers!
I'm already itching for the spring!!!
Celebrate the win. Lose the ref-baiting.They can’t do any worse than the ACC slugs that have been reffing our games.
[NC is the largest state without a BiG or SEC school.I do not understand why anybody thinks UVA or UNC going to BIG10 or SEC. There is little interest in football at either school. It will be interesting to see if BB can increase interest in football at UNC.
