Tons of talent now for all the pitino haters. They will be a tournament team. He can flat out coach like him or notI still think St Johns is probably in the 5-8 range. Tons of mid major talents and unproven high majors who couldn’t get minutes at their last school. Maybe the Pitino factor gets them up to 3-5, but Marquette/UConn/Providence just have way better rosters.

I agree, it was Alleyne. But at least it didn't bother him enough to distract from helping out the team. He was a pretty good contributor down the stretch.I think Naheim was the player Hurley referenced in the middle of the season that was unhappy at Uconn. He made some sort of comment about knowing who may transfer and I thought he was talking about Samson. Some players just think its not them and there is greener pastures elsewhere. We will be ok without him....an Alleyne for David Jones trade would be a fair replacement if we could somehow get him from the portal.
Exactly. No matter what his discontentment was, he minimized it from affecting his play and he was a valuable contributor to winning the national championship. I am pleased that he has a diamond studded national championship ring for his sacrifice. I have nothing but good wishes for Alleyne.I agree, it was Alleyne. I think he has reached the point in his career where his high school ranking is irrelevant.Signs are now pointing to Kentucky's Lance Ware committing with Providence as soon as today.
Just 9.2 mpg across his three seasons at Kentucky, but Ware was the 44th best prospect of '20. 6'9 235 forward from Camden, NJ.
Unfortunately pitino is only a small turd compared to many like calapari, self, etc. i have been a serious uconn fan for 45 years. I watch every game even during the lowly ollie years. Big East tournament attendee from inception. Pitino is good for the big east same as sean miller the cheaterPlenty of Pitino haters out there. The only way you like him is if he’s coaching your team I mean the guys a piece of crap. But he can coach I think most would agree with that.
No matter we appreciate your interest in UConn basketball don’t be a stranger.
I agree, obviously he is not the offensive player that he was though to be. He's a good defender and rebounder who has played behind the best player in CBB the last couple of years. He was the team captain of Kentucky as a bench player. That says something. We need a backup for Oduro and this is going to be it. I'm pleased with this and it helps our team. I really wanted Somto but the NIL for foreign players and the visa ramifications is not something PC is comfortable getting into right now, based on a podcast Rich Coren did with the people in charge of our collective.I think he has reached the point in his career where his high school ranking is irrelevant.
If it was true we offered him, it looks like we got lucky he thought he'd be better off with the squid.I think he has reached the point in his career where his high school ranking is irrelevant.
Early in the season he was pressing and taking some poor shots. Once he took his shots in the flow of the game things.came together for him. He was money from elbow and foul line pull ups.Hurley kept running him out there as bad as he was for a long time to begin the season. Kudos to Coach Hurley making it work!!! (& Naheim as well for sticking with it)
Why yes. I root for New England sports and it seemed like a unique name to me back when the web was starting up.Is you handle name based on the famous horse?
With the recent St. John's adds here are the latest Torvik 2024 projections:
4 - Marquette
5 - UConn
9 - Creighton
17 - Nova
40 - Xavier
49 - PC
68 - St. John's
69 - SH
90 - Butler
130 - Depaul
158 - Gtown
FWIW.. I saw it a different way..It took awhile for Dan Hurley to trust Alleyne.. There was a vibe where Dan Hurley and NA were not on the same sheet of music and NA knew there was a quick hook if anything didn't go according to plan (per Dan Hurley).. Once Dan Hurley allowed NA to pay through an occasional mistake..Things worked out and NA was a very productive part of the march to the Tournament win..Early in the season he was pressing and taking some poor shots. Once he took his shots in the flow of the game things.came together for him. He was money from elbow and foul line pull ups.
There isn’t a ton left as names re flying off the board and the portal is closed. Still players out there but the better ones committing fast. Will be interesting to see what Cooley does.Has Cooley gotten anyone good at GT? Seems like after the hire there has been little noise down at DC
Not really, their roster looks not great for next year. Cooley is trying the same thing that worked with Carter/Hopkins by bringing in highly rated recruits that didn't play a ton at their respective schools as underclassmen in Dontrez Styles (#66 in '21), Jayden Epps (#72 in '22), and Rowan Brumbaugh (#89 in '22).Has Cooley gotten anyone good at GT? He liked how green it is this time of year…

Looks like another Big East team is losing the NIL battle for a transfer…
I think Lance Ware with Nova trying to pull him away from PC.Lance Ware?
Yes.Lance Ware?
