Butler added Georgia State's Jalen Thomas.

The 6'10 230 post-player averaged 7.9p, 6.2r, 1.7b, 45.9 fg% in 25.6 mpg last season. Was the #245 recruit of '19.

With Bryce Golden taking his grad transfer season at Loyola-Chicago, Jalen Thomas is the top candidate to replace him in the starting lineup.

Just based on what I've seen in Golden and looking at Thomas' stats, Thomas does not have the offensive versatility of Golden, but he seems like a significant defensive upgrade. FWIW, Georgia State was 40th nationally in opponent 2p% while Butler was 264th.
Tate, Harris, Ali, Simas and Thomas......pretty solid. No bench though.

I wonder if Kimani could work his DC connections and get Carey. He is a sold guard with good height at 6'5 and shot 45% in 2020 and 39% in 2021 from 3. And he shoots well beyond the arc at times and can make. He can handle the ball, too.

His overall FG% the last 2 years is solid as well.

Anyone think UConn will make a push for this guy?

Uh oh, did the ViLlAnOvA CuLtUrE die with Wright leaving?
This is probably a joke but no. Antoine's college career has been ruined by injury and he's never shown he can produce at all at this level. Everyone is back for Nova and most importantly Whitmore, Armstrong, and Hausen announced they're committed to Nova.

U are correct that it was a joke

247 Crystal Balls predict Ward to sign w/ Georgetown.

If true, nice weekend for Georgetown adding Ward and Spears.

Georgetown has a brutal season, their top talent has transferred out over the past few years, Patrick Ewing (who I loved as a Knickerbocker) has proved nothing as a coach other than his team catching fire in last year's BE tourney and top kids still want to go there. Amazing!!

Ward is going there because they hired his guy Jordan Brooks.

Certainly is a different game now. Top 25 players will go where they get paid the most. The remaining players go to schools that recruit them the old fashioned way. Then many leave those schools if they don’t get what they want. Microcosm of society. Don’t have to pay your dues to move up. Instant gratification
