Is Ice Brady as good as Strong at the same age?
IMO, Brady as a HS Jr. was a different player. Brady was every bit as good with her footwork, shooting, using both hands, and using her body. Strong is a good shooter, and probably a better ballhandler and passer. Both were/are very good rebounders. Defense was/is about equal. So very comparable but different.

Interesting. She does a good job of always moving, using her body, and as needed, flexing her arm to always get a layup off. Perhaps she could tutor a current UConn forward I know.

Hard to be disappointed...
What a duo! Of course, sharpshooters... but quick and scrappy, Those passes have
the look of vintage UCONN Huskie passes...." Everybody Eats..."....... It is going to be a FEST in
Storrs!!

I agree with your observation but IMO, much of what she does can’t be taught. It’s kind of a confluence of quickness, flexibility, hops, and especially instincts coming together to allow her to invent or ad lib what’s needed at the moment. She has somewhat unorthodox but unique talent that’s fun to watch. And I’d like to watch her at UConn.

They both offer something that UConn has been sorely missing..........big, space-eating bodies!

Nike Girls EYBL Session I Standouts – 17U

24′ C Kate Koval – Exodus NYC EYBL / Long Island Lutheran (NY): Reliability continues to be strongly affiliated with Koval’s presence on the court. Last week at WPA Bruins Tipoff, she was a force in the halfcourt and in transition converting on a lot of quick-hitters. This week she featured her polished post-game flexing her footwork to re-position her defenders and create more space in traffic. If she wasn’t finishing at the rim, she was knocking them down at the FT line to the tune of 88.2% on 34 attempts..

24′ G Justice Carlton – Cy Fair Elite EYBL / Seven Lakes (TX): Flexibility continues to make Carlton one of the more productive players on the court. While consistently present on the defensive end picking off passes and blocking shots, the ball didn’t always fall for her. Behind a trio of 25-point games, she was able to prioritize rebounding efforts when the ball no longer found the bottom of the net. Her ability to help the team get through some rough patches and control momentum ignited numerous game-winning runs..

24′ F Toby Fournier – Kia Nurse Elite EYBL / Crestwood Secondary (CAN): High mobility and strong hand-eye coordination allowed Fournier to rely on quick post-ups throughout the weekend. She effectively sealed defenders when flashing into the paint and immediately elevated into layups through contact. Her agility on the defensive end was just as impactful cutting off driving angles off post-ups and forcing shots over the top of her long reach. Additionally, showed comfort switching onto smaller ball-handlers and stalling penetration from the perimeter..

25′ G Aaliyah Chavez – Cy Fair Elite EYBL / Lubbock Monterrey (TX): Defenses continue to struggle guarding Chavez out of the pick-and-roll. Her ability to knockdown 3s over the top of the screen or pull-up at the FT line create confusion and force defenders to commit early to taking one option away or the other. This high usage play for Cy Fair allows Chavez to operate as a reliable playmaker and opening up the floor for her teammates by pulling defensive resources away from other offensive areas. Her play carried her to a top-5 finish in points and assists per game..

Going back to Geno's mystery commit, it's interesting the events he and the coaches attended last weekend.

Geno, Morgan, and Jamelle were at events that included Justice Carlton as well as Ziebell.

I'm near certain they weren't at the event where Strong, Cambridge, and Edwards played.

Hmmmm.......
