There are a ton of P5 teams he could start for. And probably will. Our roster make up and recruits overlap his skill sets here. Would’ve loved him back but coach has to be honest about PT , and that’s a great thing for everyone involved. We move on and give Naheim a giant hug for being a fantastic and vital Husky. That’s 2023 college hoops. He was awesome in his role for us. Key component.
Now he wants to start and bring his game to the next level. Good for him, probably the right move. The entire A-10 should be after him. From what I saw he could start for a B-10 team like Purdue.
In Hurley we trust!!!!Better be a good plan….![]()
Good point. Might worth betting a FF future on whoever he chooses. Things happen in threes.Look at how it went for JGaffney hopefully it works out like that for Naheim wish him the best!
UMass and Frank Martin are building something there, but I think you missed my main point. The schools can be changed to whoever you would like. I just hope he stays local and is a dog for whoever he plays for. Nothing deeper than that, just want to see him do well. Why would he go to UMass or Rhode Island?
Two bad programs with bad coaches.
Yup. This is it.
He should go somewhere good where they’re going to put him on the court at the start of the game. Lots of options out there for him, I would think.
He got his ring and if he ever comes back to the state of Connecticut and has to pay his own bar tab, shame on us.
Best of luck, you played a big part in bringing in hardware to Storrs. Does this mean we get a yes from this stud Friday ?
Might be a better dunker than Hawkins.Thought he was just a shooter. Watching these highlights and realize he has some serious athleticism too. Would be an exciting pickup.
Well, not too local. I don’t want him becoming a Providence Friar or playing for a Big East team. That’s just me.UMass and Frank Martin are building something there, but I think you missed my main point. The schools can be changed to whoever you would like. First instinct is NOOOOOOO!!! After pausing for a second must mean there’s some moving pieces going
Just makes you wonder what Hurley is cooking up for next year. The plan is starting to take shape. Three big contributors gone. This is what happens when you put together the perfect team. As Hurley noted we are in the me season right now. That will continue until the rosters are set.Public service message to everyone: you can choose to like this new era of transferring and NIL or you can choose to hate it. What you can’t do is deny it, it’s the new reality.
I am sad to see Alleyne go, but we all want what is best for him. And others that chose UConn and then choose to go elsewhere. This will be the new norm of college basketball free agency.
Rex Chapman vibes.Thought he was just a shooter. Watching these highlights and realize he has some serious athleticism too. Would be an exciting pickup.
I think this was a miss step for him- going for back to back National Championships & being on National TV all the time with a opportunity to get 25 minutes a game if he’d continue to elevate his game- what could be a bigger opportunity for trying to show your talent to go play PRO?
Appreciate his attitude & willingness to take a lesser role for the better of the team & those type of sacrifices were a good reason why the Huskies are National Champions- thank you!
Sheesh, maybe the midranges? I remembered him knocking down a lot of shots. The first few games of the tournament, for sure. He was 0/8 from 3 in the 2 Final Four games.
