Akinjo Back????

Only a couple posters now. I think CL82 has some insight I am not aware of that's fine.
Seriously, I was just being snarky.

(Not that I don't like to create trouble, because I sort of do...)

What a cesspool. Termites ... eating away at the fabric of communities. The System would be better off with Clerks with Psychology degrees. And no judges.

The Good News? You’re not in Manhattan where the Attorney costs $500 per hour and is incentivized to spin it through years.

Or just do away with government in marriage. Keep it in churches.

Great. Now I'm getting banner ads for lawyers here.

At the risk of getting too close to the cesspool, i agree that government has no place in marriage. But the courts will always be a place to settle civil disputes, as it should be.

Says a guy who's never tried for an annulment. Those cannon lawyers don't give up anything to their secular brethren.

Def never tried for an annulment

What’s the dispute if govt were to remove itself from the marriage game?

Believe me, there are plenty of other things to fight about besides marriage.

Thank God.

I could never have been a divorce attorney, I may be an abrasive a**hole, but that's even a line I won't touch.

And even trial work bored me because juries are stupid and unpredictable.

Two people who share ownership of assets and who potentially have dependents have to come to agreements on how to divide that property and custody of the children. You really need an explanation as to why an objective third-party would be the preferred arbiter, or why the two parties would want to hire someone to advocate on their behalf?

I stopped talking to jurors post-verdict for that very reason.

On the right side, I see an ad for ancestry.com with the caption:
Til' death do us part... right?

Honestly, I'm looking forward to my death and the silence it provides. That and I've never heard the dead complain, so it must be a pretty good gig.

6' 160 to me is a little on the lean side. This is the undernourished type UConn has been getting under KO. Great in high school. Gets knocked down in college.

Wishing the best for @husky99

But can we move the lawyer stuff elsewhere? I keep coming to this thread hoping Hurley has finally contacted Akinjo.

my bad.

I'd rather kill myself than keep talking about this crap anyway.

I still hope Dan Hurley can bring Akinjo back into the fold.

Carry on.

Here's a suggestion, once you feel the need to post something like this, put the thread on ignore.

Enjoy the 2 threads that are on topic.
The BY is like a free association session with a shrink. It just goes where it goes but usually turns out to be insightful, eventually.

I think the hype around Hurley these past few days has been overblown and he has a ton to prove, but now that he's in Storrs that hype definitely plays into our hands.

He'll have a bit of an aura now
We are taking a step back because of the recruits we are losing, and perhaps some players. I've said it before and I'll say it again. it will likely be 2 years before we go over .500. Probably 3 or 4 until we make the NCAA's.

Insightful, err not usually.
Inciteful, perhaps.

This aint football. turnarounds are only 1 player and some decent player development away.

I don't agree, but if I did, where's the player? We just lost our top two recruits.

Not if Hurley's track record holds.

And we are starting closer to .500 than his previous stops.

Are we? We lost 3 players from last year (so far) and our top 2 recruits (at a minimum). You expect big improvement based on that? If Alterique comes back healthy (which is obviously an uncertainty) it still will be a stretch.
