Their app did some cool stuff - but.... one would venture it cost them less than $70 mill to develop.
That’s a really short book.
Hey, the AAF will have given the football world 4th and 12 instead of onside kicks and a gambling app.Their app did some cool stuff - but.... one would venture it cost them less than $70 mill to develop.

Yeah - I have no clue on development valuation - be worth watching what he does with it all said and done (MGM seemed smitten with it).
its funny watching everyone fall all over themselves in a effort to get into such a low margin business.
the casinos in vegas took out their books or outsourced them because they were a waste of space and effort
article today on how delaware is the only state getting near the numbers people tossed around
the unmet demand people thinks exists isnt there - and the ‘legal’ options are garbage in comparison
Steve Spurrier says AAF founders were 'not very truthful' as league suspends operations
Orlando gets it's first pro football championship outside of arena football since the 1968 Orlando Panthers.
No they don't. The AAF did not have a champion. Stop counting fake things as championships.
Showtime's new series "Start Up League" just writes itself: Clip from episode 12:
"Everybody wanted to play out the season and everybody is disappointed," Spurrier said, per the Orlando Sun-Sentinel. "Everyone was led to believe that the Alliance was well-funded and we could play three years without making any money and this, that and the other. Obviously, everything that was said was not very truthful."
Later that night the coach will break into league HQ to steal the trophy of the bankrupt league...which subsequently in the next episode will be repossessed by villain banker character inspired heavily by Mark Cuban.
It's not me, but thank you for opining. No they don't. The AAF did not have a champion. Stop counting fake things as championships.
It really sounds to me that they started the league with a great idea that had a ton of potential to succeed. They were just missing a key part, money to pay all the players....kind of an important part.
Then a savior comes in but asks for something he basically knows won't happen. The AAF isn't at fault on that part. That's the dick owner from Carolina who pulled that one. However, the AAF plays a role because had they actually had the money aspect planned out, they wouldn't have needed this guy to start with.
Too bad all around. Seemed like a legit league for college players to get a second chance to show their talents for NFL teams. I'd watch this over that crap the XFL will be any day

We'd probably be better off with the XFL. Now Vince has the blueprint to play competent football. Vince is setting up his league as Triple A leagues in sports are doing now, teams close to the top clubs. Hartford might want to jump on that and become a minor league affiliate of the Patriots.Hope Ricky puts down that weed and takes note. The Freedom Football League now may have a better chance to see the light of day.

On another note, where is Johnny Manziel going to find employment now? I suppose he can try the German Football League for now. They have a team called the New Yorker Lions. Cringe-worthy.
