This account isn’t known for being too reliable. Mostly just getting info from @/SkimMilkey and using it to engagement farm. Could be true, but I’d take it with a grain of salt.
Yep, that account just rebroadcasts every rumor it gets its hands on. No verification going on

I've always really liked her game. She did start at Tennessee (COVID year). Played the last two years at Cal. I also think she got injured one year while she was at Tennessee and left mid year her second year on the court. So I'm thinking this is more like her 6th year but in fairness she's missed a lot of games. This is kind of a painful one as well cuz I thought Cal really was good for her and let her kinda blossom. They had a good season and some talent coming back
Sigh. Thought she thrived in a situation that Charmin Smith helped create. They're losing some scorers due to end of eligibility but thought Suarez and Lulu Twidale could form a solid foundation coming back. For whatever reason(s), folks don't seem to want to do that much anymore (take it from this Domer). With Suarez in the portal, we'll see if Twidale -- a sophomore -- will stick around. Amazing that folks will just walk away from solid achievements.

Princeton and UNC had one thing in common: Courtney Banghart. Around the time Miles was deciding she said she would've stayed in state had Banghart not moved down south.

Honestly, I don't see her landing at any of those places except maybe UConn.
I'm not quite ready to prophesize on where our Double Domer might end up (I was still imagining her in a Seattle Storm uniform until last night), but I agree it's doubtful she'll end up at any of those schools, including UConn. Besides, I can see he Huskies doing just fine with KK Arnold getting the key to the Husky racecar.

I honestly don't know what will be the attraction for luring her: coaching? (she's had Ivey as her position coach), NIL (ND might not throw zounds at its players, but it's not hurting) or a ring. Or some combination thereof? Stay tuned.

I believe she left to care for her mother who had cancer in Spain. When she came back she went to Cal.

Does ND have anyone left!?

Well, since you asked, this is a current assessment (as of 3 p.m. EDT):
Guards: Hannah Hidalgo, KK Bransford, Cass Prosper
Forwards/Posts: Kate Koval, Kylee Watson, Leah Macy.
Six kids on scholarship, primarily due to two one-HS recruit only the last two years.
Will need to get at least 4 people in the portal.

This is how I feel about some of the "name" transfers I've seen especially Hailey Van Lith. She was a star player on a 3 time EE squad and one FF, bolts for LSU where it didn't go so well. She landed on her feet at TCU but I just don't get some of the moves I've seen.

Good thing is she has plenty of options. TBH…at this point get the chubbiest check.

Both those players were out this year with injury, I assume Watson, if she returns will be healthy, but what's KK's status? I don't remember her injury/medical reason for sitting?

I knew this was going to happen. Koval's HS coach tweeted something that was basically trashing the way Kate was being used. I dont think she had any confidence that Niele could figure out how to use her. I wonder if she's looking to reunite with either of her HS teammates. USC and Michigan would both be nice fits.

Updating this, not including all stats though. This is an absolutely stacked portal already and we'll likely have more entrants throughout the next week (and after next weekend once players from Final Four teams start entering the portal).

Regarding Ole Miss, they have added 3 transfers who combined for almost 54 points a game at their previous schools, none of which made the NCAA tournament. All appear to have 1 season remaining. Did Ole Miss lose a lot of their current starters to graduation? I've seen how they lost a lot of non-starters to the portal. So, looks like a complete overhaul.

Ice Brown, ASU transfer, in addition to her other statistics I believe led the Big 12 in turnovers. A talented offensive player she is relatively low efficiency, needs the ball in her hands and is a turnover machine.

While I like Taina Mair a lot and believe that she was more than solid for Duke this year, I wouldn't call Duke "set at PG" with Olivia Miles in the picture. Gotta kick the tires on Miles here.
True. They also have Skinner coming in who is the #2 PG recruit in the country next year. I get the vibe though that Kara isn’t a huge portal shopper. Most kids she recruits have been sticking around and she hasn’t recruited over them. Taking a transfer like Miles for one year and recruiting over existing players/recruits would be a new approach for her.

Kara's first two or three seasons, she was a huge portal shopper. She hasn't had a large amount of transfers lately to have to go to the portal.

This one makes me a little sad, because U$C could not have been more supportive of her (and I say this as probably the biggest hater of U$C on this board.) I'm really hopeful this was done with Gottlieb's blessing and the intent to get more playing time in a lower profile program

Miles and Koval are tempting, but I hope South Carolina holds out for the big Notre Dame transfer.

Welp, never say never in these days of an endlessly revolving transfer portal: https://www.sfchronicle.com/sports/...tess-heal-enters-transfer-portal-20253650.php

All I really want to know is what gave Kate the confidence to say everyone told her they were coming back? Did Heal change her mind, or just lead her on? Sad to see her go - she was by far our most efficient shooter on an effective fg percentage basis, although she was consistently beaten on defense and I think that led to her reduced minutes over the course of the season.

And blatantly so. I guess the rules don't apply to Mark Campbell because he's so darn likable!
Of course tampering is happening, it's just like real life. The headhunter calls, you agree the new job...only then do you inform current employer. Otherwise, you risk getting tossed out the door with no secure landing spot.

Just like not being able to include NIL amount in recruitment pitch, the ncaa anti-tampering rule will not hold up in court. Note how coaches are hired, they are tampered with and then announce new school. They don't announce they are leaving, and then start a job search.
