3-1 in August and after tonight's game against CC and company end the month on the road against The Storm and The Aces.
Like the Sky, the Dream are three and seven over their last 10 and not a very good road team. As these two stagger to the finish to see who gets to play the number one seed (the Liberty on most dance cards LOL) these games will only be interesting to demonstrate who is more motivated.
As the playoff order with the exception of the number eight slot is already set one wonders who's looking ahead, who's resting starters, and who might be playing for their next contract.
One might quibble about where the Sun and Lynx end up and who plays the Fever and who plays the Mercury but in the end it really won't matter as the higher seeds will advance. The Fever don't have the defense to hang with any of the top 4 teams ( and maybe not even the Dream tonight) and the Mercury will fall merely because of their ineptitude on the road.
My point focused on the team after the Olympic break not before. The team definitely operates differently now with Canada running the point and Hillmon in as a starter.
Play-offs are not something I'm concerned about when it comes to the Dream. If they make it, that's a bonus considering how the first half of the season went.
). From my perspective though, they seemed a tad more worked up for this game than they usually are.
