Certainly looks like the Mystics are anything but talent bereft as they lead the Lynx and are really having their way offensively.I think teams would still rather take their chances with a talent-bereft Washington team led by a 31-year-old rookie PG who sucks.
Same Mystics team that ended up losing again to the Lynx? The team with what--24 losses now?Certainly looks like the Mystics are anything but talent bereft as they lead the Lynx and are really having their way offensively.
The Mercury have only one way to win and that's to hit over 50% of their threes and hope their opponent gets tired from abusing the non-existent Merc defense.
Washington on the other hand plays hard all the time and is getting their pieces back. A case could be made that with BG demonstrating indifference to the game, Diana fist fighting her way to the rim and Copper wondering what the hell is going on that the Mystics are by far a more dangerous opponent.
While the talented Merc couldn't break 70 in their last outing the Mystics have 50 against a much better opponent at the half.
In any event we'll see in 2 weeks as the Merc gets slapped around and the Mystics at least will give a full effort and their series loss to the Liberty.
She? Isn’t it still a team sport, or has Clark truly “changed basketball?”Indiana wins in OT. Atlanta needed that one more than the Fever did, but couldn't close it out.
30 pts/13 reb/5 assists for Boston. 26 pts/12 assists for Clark. Mitchell pitched in w/21. Hull 4-5 behind the arc--has there EVER been a bigger mid season turnaround than what she's done? Night and day difference.
36 for Howard. Charles and Gray both w/ 17.
Think you're misunderstanding the question. Believe they're referring to Hull's turnaround compared to the first half of the season. They have a point if you ask me.She? Isn’t it still a team sport, or has Clark truly “changed basketball?”
She just isn't a Championship coach, the same with Quinn in Seattle. The Liberty really should be ashamed of themselves after that performance. Feels like this is Sandy's final season in Brooklyn.
Yes it's a team sport. Hull was pretty much a non factor the first half of the season. Since the Olympic break she's become a reliable 4th scorer who has been absolutely deadly behind the 3 point arc. I think she's hitting something outrageous like 70%. That's not getting hot for a few games, that's almost a month. She? Isn’t it still a team sport, or has Clark truly “changed basketball?”
They were playing Indiana, right?I think Atlanta was up as much as 15 or 16. It's going OT.
How is Sandy not a "Championship" coach when she won a championship? Folks already know how I feel about coach Quinn. She is a decent coach with a decent coaching staff. The players speak highly of her and support her. The owners have her back. That is all that matters. She just isn't a Championship coach, the same with Quinn in Seattle.
Yes. With today's results Chicago is 1 game up on Atlanta, Dallas is toast, and Washington is on life support. They were playing Indiana, right?

Maybe someone shouldn't take 21 shots make 6, and go 1 for 9 from 3. Stewie goes 8-14, JJ for 3-4, they combine for 13-17 at the free throw line. The Liberty really should be ashamed of themselves after that performance. Feels like this is Sandy's final season in Brooklyn.
Ionescu did shoot poorly, but she hit several big ones at the end. I don't think Stewie scored again after about mid Q3. Anyway, NY's utter collapse is not simply because Ionescu missed some shots. That was on the WHOLE team.Maybe someone shouldn't take 21 shots make 6, and go 1 for 9 from 3. Stewie goes 8-14, JJ for 3-4, they combine for 13-17 at the free throw line.
Maybe some of those shots need to go elsewhere. Clark is shooting better then Sabrina, 2Pt, and 3Pt percentage, has more rebounds and assists. The only thing Sabrina is better at is less turnovers.
