Seattle continues to refuse to get a firm handle on that #4 playoff seed. Thomas and Bonner only combined for 12 points, but 5 other Sun players in double figures. Jones led the way w/ 26. Mabrey and Burton added another 26 off the bench. Loyd led everybody w/ 27.

So...Olympians competing for other countries rejoining the WNBA after the break, have to say Dallas and Sabally are the big winners so far.

Dallas has definitely gained a spark, but that would have happened regardless of the Olympic break considering her injury situation.

Footprint Arena - HUMILIATION
Did the sleeping giant wake up? At least for one game anyway.

Why are none of these games on tv for a general audience? Looks like Indiana-Dallas is a barn burner. Chicago has rallied to make a game of it with Minnesota. There have been hardly any games on regular tv this week. What is the league doing?

If the Wings end up grabbing that #8 seed, then :oops::oops:

I know the teams at the top are hoping that Chicago hangs on, but I don't see that happening.

Million Dollar coach and his team are sleeping. DT just picked up her technical and the team now has two.

I'm using the WNBA app to see all five games today it's amazing. Only $39.95 for the year.

The million dollar coach and his team are pathetic

Kah and Tasha have one each, too. Tash is out for the next game as well.

To me, this is a symptom of substandard coaching. I doubt that anyone outside of DT would have a tech in this game or be in danger of missing the next game with a better coach leading the way.

Wilson might come up just short of a 40/20 game.

About that MVP thing. Collier is having a really good season. Wilson is having one of, if not the best, season in WNBA history. Not sure how there is a debate, other than team record. But we saw last year that record wasn't the be all and end all for MVP voting.

Indiana cools off the hot Wings, good win on the road. Had to overcome a monster game from Ogunbowale.

Actually Mitchell matched Arike's scoring. AO must've cooled off down the stretch. Wings only got 3 points from the bench, Fever slightly better w/ 9. Mitchell/Clark combined for 64, Ogunbowale/Sabally 59.

For all the talk of Wilson/Collier/Clark/Reese, I’d argue no one is playing better than Kelsey Mitchell as of late. She’s the biggest reason why Indiana is surging right now. Only 2 games back from Seattle with a real shot at a top 5 seed. 36 points today on ridiculous efficiency. Clark too with another monster game.

Side note: Dallas could easily pull off nabbing the 8 seed and will be a nightmare matchup for the Liberty. With Satou back they are a force.

No mine wouldn't. Nor would it change if it was A'ja, Breanna, Bridget, Kayla, etc.
Well then, I wonder how many times its takes for one player running into or over another before you feel it's worthy of special attention.

So, the fever need three wins to reach the playoffs. They have 8 games left to do it. 6 are at home. 5-3 over those 8 games will give them a winning record. 4-4 would leave them at .500.

They have played great basketball since the Olympic break. Boston’s role as a scorer has been reduced to a rebounder, screener and kick out to three shooters Clark, Mitchell and emerging threat Hull.
Agreed, visitingcock, but I believe they'll need point production from Aliyah down the stretch.

I saw an interesting little factoid. Might not get these numbers exactly right, but it's close. 17% of all Flagrant 1 fouls this season have been committed against Caitlin Clark, and of those 80% of them have been by Chicago Sky players. Just a coincidence though, right?

It was a day for breaking records. Reese with the single season rebounding record. Wilson with the most 30 pt/10 reb games in a season. Ogunbowale tied a single game record for number of made 3's.

Spot on. She has been SCORCHING since the break ended!

Kels makes Indy an actual threat in the playoffs. Watching her the last three games has been quite the treat. When she's on, she is fun to watch! She could sneak onto the All-WNBA second team (I expect Caitlin to make the 1st team).

I also agree with you re Dallas and believe that NY is hoping to see Chicago or even Atlanta. No way they want Stewie and JJ to bang with those girls to start off the playoffs. While I don't think NY would actually lose (who knows--maybe they would), they will struggle with that Sabally/Howard/McCowan beast of a frontline. And then there's Arike...

Indiana just has so many weapons but Indiana will continue to be a force and very difficult to beat if Mitchell keeps this up. She has taken her game to another level.

Smith gave some solid minutes today.

Again, this is a team playing great team basketball and improving week by week.

Anyone know if NaLyssa Smith is hurt? She didn't play for like the last quarter and I didn't see her sitting on the bench...

She was having herself a good game too!

Well then, I'll sit back and try to look for context and do my best not to look at things from a myopic point of view.

Similar comments are said for aggressive fouls/plays against the players I've mentioned. Most of those posts rarley get a response on this board. Rarely have I seen the type of uproar that seems to occur when it comes to Clark.

The way I see it is that fans will see what they want to see when it comes to their favourite players. Even if there is context that provides a valid explanation.

For example, there is the "17% of flagrant fouls have been called on plays against Clark" talking point. Yet if you look at the numbers in 2023 it was Satou Sabally and Aerial Powers in 2022 who experienced the same thing. Where was the outrage or concern then?
