If Castle is only Pat Beverley I will be STUNNED. His floor is Marcus Smart. He’s going to be closer to that supercharged Jrue.

It's insane how much his stock has risen because of his defense in the last 8 months. He came to UConn as a weak defender and left the best perimeter defender in CBB.

His shooting is going to improve. By year 3 in the league, he's going to be 34-36% shooter from deep, and continue to be a beast at the rim. I see him as a career 12/4/4 guy as a floor.

Second round, No. 48 pick: Top three player options

1. Cam Spencer, SG, UConn

Spencer is one of the best shooters in this draft, hitting 44% of his 3s this season -- many of which came running off screens or pulling up off the bounce. He is a smart, unselfish passer who can moonlight in a playmaking role and brings a tough, fiery demeanor that will be appreciated by teammates and coaches alike.

His age -- he's currently the oldest player projected to be drafted at 24 -- and defensive/athletic limitations will likely relegate him to the second round, but it shouldn't surprise anyone to see him carve out a NBA career considering his skill level, feel for the game and competitiveness

apologies if posted

No Ceilings developed a methodology to compare players in the draft to current NBA players, calculating three-point shooting similarity scores. I have no idea how strong the predictive value will be. It was still an interesting exercise. Castle’s comparisons were solid, and it’s not hard to see him shooting around 35% or better from three before long. You can see the full chart at the link, as well as other comparisons.

Really cool to see O’Connor has Steph and DC 1 and 2 on his overall Big Board.

Weird though that he has them going 6th and 7th respectively. Team fits obviously, but I think DC goes a good bit higher at the very least.

Don’t love the Hornets for SC and Blazers for DC. Really need to avoid those at all costs.

San Antonio may take Steph. But can you imagine Clingan and Wemby together? Opponents scores would look like the days when the Pistons had Ben and Sheed or Rick Mahorn and Bill Lambeer destroying everyone LOL...

Danny says Hawks HC Quin Snyder really likes DC but you never know if they will unload Trae Young in a trade package and draft picks and they trade out of the #1 slot. A dark horse for DC( because of the familiarity with the UConn Program) could be OKC and Mark Daigneault. They have been saying they think Chet's natural position is as a stretch 4 and wouldn't mind pairing him with a traditional 5. OKC would obviously have to improve their draft position and/or find a trade partner for a draft and trade scenario.

Next 2 weeks will be crazy re: DC and SC. NBA teams playing alot of poker right now leading up to the Draft.

For what it’s worth, based on the players the Wizards have worked out to date, they are considering drafting Clingan at 2 and Newton at 51.

Hurley takes a pretty obvious shot at the Charlotte Hornets. Talking about the upcoming daft he says the important thing is not your draft number, it's about the organization and do they do things that UConn does. "So you don't have your players in the situation that James Bouknight finds himself"

Wow!!!

As we all know, that situation was certainly not all on the Hornets.

That was going to happen to Bouknight no matter which team drafted him. He has had plenty of good people in his ear that he didn't listen to. Charlotte even had that kid from uconn come to try to babysit him.

I'm not saying that Charlotte is a good organization. They haven't been. Hopefully it changes with the new regime.
