Curry is not ranked among the nation's top 100 recruits by ESPNW.com's HoopGurlz, but she was named the 2020 Press Enterprise Player of the Year. She averaged 22.4 points per game last season and made 75 three-point shots.

Curry chose Cal over her four finalist -- San Diego State, Utah, Washington and Arizona State.

Whoa, this is big news. She exploded onto the scene as a Fr. and averaged 18.6 ppg her first year in Berkeley. Not exactly the most efficient player, but she can score.

Agree, and bookmark this thread for the announcements of where players land, just like we did last season, so that the "going" and "coming" posts are separated and easy to find.
How do you "bookmark" your newly posted transfer thread?
I used the link above to get to it but am wondering what a bookmark does.
Thanks.

Well, I used the term "bookmark" to remember we had two threads last year to keep things a bit cleaner, however you can click the bookmark icon at the top right of any post and save it.

Early prediction. Pitt will finish in last place in the ACC next season.

Bold prediction. They finished in last place this year, and now losing half of their team.
Maybe so, but a lot of people were thinking the same of Illinois. They ended up in a tournament game over others in the BIG10. Too soon to say until Pitt announces the new coach.

Minnesota's 2nd leading scorer and leading rebounder decides to transfer. She's a sophomore and looks to have two seasons of eligibility. Guess she decided not to wait and see who the new coach will be..

Enjoyed watching her play. Sometimes a tad aggressive which would get her into foul trouble. Won't be surprised if her phone blows up. A lot of teams could benefit in having a player like her on their roster.

I was thinking the same thing...lot of teams can benefit from an aggressive, down-low player who put up pretty consistent numbers.

2022-23 Post-season Boston College Transfer Tracker: Second Eagle Enters Portal

This one catches my eye because Carman's departure comes just after starting center Maria Gakdeng entered the portal earlier in the week. Wouldn't that departure signal an opportunity for Ally? Or was she so attached to the bench (she was) that she was advised or figured out that things were not getting much better under the current administration?

Carman played for an excellent Red Bank Catholic team on the Jersey Shore and was highly recruited. She chose BC pretty early in the process so the fact that her lack of playing and early departure signals a total wash.

As noted, Joanna Bernabei-McNamee lost some major players last year (Taylor Soule, Cameron Swartz) and did again with Maria Gakdeng. She's also lost some of her recent recruits and no transfers came in last year. I dunno, to me there's smoke on the Hill. Wonder if the administration sees it that way.

What's weird is Coach Bernabei-McNamee seems collected and focused, yet friendly and collegial when you see her on the sideline. I don't think these folks are leaving because they don't like the green line. ;)

Behind a paywall. The Athletic is reporting Kennedy Fauntleroy, FR PG out of Georgetown is in the portal. Getting rid of Coach James Howard may be a factor. The unanimous BE Freshmen of the Year, she'll be a nice pickup for someone. She's a Maryland native and Frese will probably be all over her.

Not new news. Has been reported for awhile.

Did Gtown fire Howard? If so, I wonder who else might enter the portal. Like Ransom or Scott?
