2019/20 UConn Recruiting

It will be interesting to see if any 2019's take official visits to UConn this spring. (and verbal immediately after)

placing this here because I think UConn scouted her a while back.no idea if there is any current interest

I don't think there is. She never mentioned UConn when listing her favorite schools at one point a few months ago. It feels like Tennessee or South Carolina to me. Can't count Texas out either the way they collect all-americans.

Official visits can start on 5 April 2018, if things work according to plan any 2019 UCONN recruits that is interested can be part of the a major celebration on the UCONN campus that week. Just so we are clear one of the frat houses is allegedly planning a bond fire on campus for that day.

When I was on campus we set the west campus quad swing on fire and we proceeded to have a 300 lb student jump in and out of the fire all while chanting " roast the pig, roast the pig ". Those were the days. Celebrating the victory against duke 2000.

Def not me. I'm 6ft 174lbs. I either do p90x3 workouts or run 3 miles daily. That is a true story though. It was certainly a wild night, the most interesting night in all my years as a student.

Paige Bueckers is the Minnesota HS player of the year.

Before concluding our conversation I had to ask Paige one final question: Notre Dame or UCONN? No, it wasn’t a recruiting query, although both schools have been working diligently to bring Bueckers on board in time for the 2020-21 season. No, I was referring to the NCAA Women’s Final Four matchup Friday night. “I would have to say a tie,” she said, not wanting to tip her hand. “I have no idea!”

Anyone else wondering how last nights' loss may impact this recruiting class? Will they be loathe to join a program that couldn't get it done two years in a row or would they think that they could be part of returning UConn to the national championship stage?

What say you.

Will they be loathe to join a program that couldn't get it done two years in a row ...?

What say you.

Good question.

How many of the last four years was ND in the final four? UConn
was in four of them.

How many national championships did ND win in the last tree years?
UConn won two of the three.

Yes, ND beat us last night, and deserves our respect and unreserved congratulations for their win. That's not quite the same as saying we are
less than a fine program. If you are not sure you agree with that, ask Dawn for her opinion.

Amazing that ND has managed to attract any recruits considering it's been 17 years since its one and only national championship.

Crazy stuff being posted here.

There's a small bit of talent on this year's Philly Belles 17U squad.

Maddie Burke #10, Kylee Watson #33, Amari DeBerry # 21, Leilani Correa #13

Yikes.........that's quite a lineup............... Alisha Lewis who's a GT recruit........she looks a bit like Kia Nurse on the court

Haven't heard much about this recruit lately but I thought there was UConn interest in the past ................at this point not sure she's an ND lock as she's from Indiana

If Bueckers was at the game last night and saw a depleted ND team out coach and out play a stacked UConn team.....We have a snowballs chance in he'll of signing here, Brunelle or Fudd. I am a huge UConn fan and still can't figure out why we didn't win by at least 10. Rough rough years ahead :(

I’m hearing from a very credible source that Aubrey Griffin, the 6’0” wing from Ossining, has UConn on her list of finalists. I assume that means she has an offer.
