There is absolutely a Cap on the number of student athlete visits a Football Program can finance per year. I am not compliance - but this is certainly part of what the NCAA does for major sports.

I could have misssd it as I was working off mobile but I went looking to back up what was in my head. I couldn’t find a number... there is regs on what they can spend/provide per athlete/family but I couldn’t find a visit number restriction.
 
According to this website;
Preparing for Official Visits

In Division I football, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball, schools are only allowed to provide a certain number of official visits each year. Football is permitted 56, baseball is allowed 25, and basketball is allowed just 12. Men’s basketball must also split visits between seniors and juniors, who may now take official visits starting January 1 of their junior year.

Thanks - I stand corrected. I think there is legislation to change the number upwards for at least basketball.

Edit: Legislation moved to 24 over a rolling two year period (pg 3/5): https://www.ncaa.org/sites/default/...ficial_Unofficial_Visits-SEMINAR_06302016.pdf

I thought he already had these offers. I see he just took an official visit at GT over the weekend. So safe to say he's deciding between GT, MN and Iowa State. I'm guessing its GT.

We don't have many scholarship spaces left, so every time we offer I figure the staff has calculated that some other outstanding offer has no traction.

I like that kid up in Edmonton. Lets get him down here ASAP.

Odd that they don't have any limits on hookers, blow or sneaker money. :rolleyes:

He is going to be a tough get for sure. I was hoping UConn would tie him up earlier before he blew up as he did. We still have a chance, but my guess is GT has the inside track right now

"I am liking Syracuse, Connecticut and Missouri the most right now," said Ezeudu. "I like each of those schools overall, I have done research and I like their academics and plus they have good sports programs.

"I just like the overall school. Every school is a little different, but based on talking with the coaches and what I have found doing my research, each could be a good place for me.

"I know I will take official visits to all three."

Nice to see that we don't already know everything after all...If we can get this young man to commit, HUGE HUGE step in the right direction recruiting wise for our program... Would be a pleasant surprise if he showed up this weekend for his official visit while we play Mizzou...

kid resembles/reminds me of another UConn OL Great... Had a pretty decent NFL career and has at least one SB ring I believe.. A Will Beatty...

I used to be a faithful subscriber there. It went to crap for several years. Looks like they got their act together, now I can sign up as a full subscriber again.

Or he knows he is a Husky and figured he would visit his next home after his season is over. It would have been easier to just cancel the visit. But who knows.....

Scrap all that negative talk. TOS has indicated in their story sneak preview posted today that he is coming to UConn this weekend. Given he plans to also announce this weekend, things look good. He looks like a true DT. Frame to play now. Would like to see him elevator his motor however. He's playing big boys in his tape. Ohio kids are big.

That's not what the story says... his OV is scheduled in December.

He may indeed announce his commitment (to UConn or elsewhere) on Saturday but unless it's a complete head fake - it won't be from Storrs.
