I now hope Manny Diaz fails in spectacular fashion. He just signed a bunch of kids to LOIs.

The overwhelming majority were Collin's recruits anyways. Diaz was announced on the 13th - Signing day was the 19th

Poor bastard has the template saved to his desktop!

So, would that be a Temple-ate? Sorry.
I know you can’t control timing of opportunities, but this does feel a bit low class on Manny’s part.

His retirement shocks me....he is only 58 and UM is his Alma mater. He has only been there three years. Could they really force change on him? Seems like he should have more power than that.

And.....he says "retire"? Is he really retiring at 58 from coaching? This is an odd one.

He 'retired' because if he didn't he'd be fired. Better on resume to have retired than fired...

Temple collected 6.5MM for losing 2 coaches this month. That puts us what, 10 MM behind them in “how to lose a coach”?

My immediate thought too. UConn spent some $10M to fire two spectacularly awful coaches in two separate sports in the last few years. Temple nets close to $7M in that same time period and half of that amount is for a guy who didn't even unpack his moving crates yet. $17M difference by my rough count.

UConn is entering 2017-18 Detroit Tigers territory - a very high payroll that produces minimal/no positive results.
