Yep! 4 minutes into the second half against the Buffs she picks up her third foul and heads to the bench. Really curious coach Barnes is able to find a fabulous outfit and matching shoes but unable to assist her post figure it out on the defensive end
The 1.2 million dollar coach just call...
...she would have been on one of the teams, she is probably one of the most talented players on Arizona. The others are inconsistent, JadaWilliams if she was less streaky and slightly more of a scorer (and if Arizona had been better over-all) probably would have been somewhere on the list. In...
...school games. She was the center of attention on that team and they weren't a powerhouse. One game against Sierra Canyon that featured JadaWilliams and Breya Cunningham showed off her full skill set, but also her ability to carry her team. She dominated, and outplayed Cunningham, though...

Personally a lot of LSU's issues come back to their HS recruiting the last two seasons and lack of making up for it in the portal cycle this past cycle.
2023 Class: Only Williams is producing (Kent transferred, Velez transferred, and ADR sits the bench).
2024 Class: Missing on every big...
Cunningham fouls out after 13 minutes again demonstrating either a continuing lack of progress on the defensive end of the ball or a lack of focus?
The result was not unexpected regardless of the circumstances as the Cowgirls are clearly a far superior team.
The kitties will need to win out in...
Beh is someone every team should have. She is "Grandma" to the rest of the team, giving advice both regarding on-court and off-court matters. She is actually a pretty decent scorer, but doesn't really get plays run for her. Rather, she might be covering Cunningham's position and collect some...
Arizona @ Oklahoma St. was tied at the end of Q1 when JadaWilliams went out with an injury. She never returned. OSU might've pulled away anyway, but after the injury Cats had no chance. 20 point margin in the closing minutes.
edit--83-64 final; Beh went nuts w/ 24 for UA, was averaging only...
I don't disagree.
Actually since LSU's ugly loss to SC I've noticed Mulkey play her bench progressively more and it won them the game today when Williams, Flaujae and Morrow didnt play very well.
Gilbert, Jada and Sheppard were big time for them.
??? Williams is an inconsistent shooter, but the team runs like crap without her in. I do worry she may leave, she gets so frustrated when other players are not in position.
We were immediately behind Adia for the game. She continues to be a bit frustrated as well, mostly because the team...
Well, I am this is very hard to say right now, a fan of Arizona State University basketball. The kitties from the UofA down in the dirty t are the in-state rival for Sun Devils.
So........
It's a delight to watch the Colorado Buffaloes play so well. And they did play very very well with a...
...Deja Kelly was all conference despite shooting under 37 percent at UNC. But I always check on the Cats box scores and look to see JadaWilliams numbers. She is very frequently having poor shooting nights. I've heard Barnes say she doesn't care about her shooting. As an AZ fan is it tough to...
Cunningham limited minutes... 2 fouls in 2 minutes to open the game sealed the deal.
Williams did hit three threes in the 4th quarter as the cats tried to scratch back into the game. Paris also was closed down as JR Payne had an outstanding game plan in limiting the cats guards.
Beh had a...
Arizona wore themselves out with that big rally, Utah pulls away down the stretch. Big games for Gianna Kneepkens and JadaWilliams for their respective teams. Utes need to work on their press break obviously.
...and offense sides, they didn't execute the play Adia was calling or trying to call, leaving Adia visibly frustrated, which is rare.
JadaWilliams remains frustrated with her teammates, at times. I get they are apparently not in the right position . . . but she shouldn't show her annoyance...
Yes, coaching is tough. Yes, coaching is increasingly tough. Yes, Barnes is a flawed coach.
As the seasons go by Barnes' flaws becoming increasingly apparent.
Utah did have a great deal to do with exposing both the kitties and Barnes coaching flaws. The kitties tend to have a Kim Mulkey...
...didn't have much to do with the lack of Arizona scoring. That is 100% on Adia and her team. NO ONE wanted to shoot besides Swann and JadaWilliams (and maybe Jah); Cunningham simply has not grown regarding not fouling and you will never win a game when you throw up random shots late in the...
...to Vandy their previous game due to their big fouling out with 5 minutes left. This time it was Arizona's turn as their best player JadaWilliams was sitting early in the 3rd quarter with 4 fouls. Cal took care of it from there although it was very competitive till late in the game.
Duke...
...5 minutes to go. After that, Michigan State took over.
Over the last four days conference is now 18 - 4
A side note: I watched the Arizona/Vandy game and it was a battle. I'm here to tell you JadaWilliams is the real deal. Vandy's duo of Blakes/Pierre combined for 48 of team's total 71 points.
...a very good season. If the team continues to play the way it has been, it isn't that they will necessarily lose that many upsets, but they may lose some and in general make games closer than they ought to be.
And yes, JadaWilliams is key, although long term Paris and Swann are great prospects.
I appreciate the recap, I was unable to watch the game, just kept an eye on the ESPN play-by-play. Does it seem like Oregon has a good shot of making it into MM? Or too soon to tell?
...is doing the right thing by not playing their freshman much. But I do still like their overall collection of talent and PK is starting to get healthy. Their occ schedule is pretty good.
On another note, can Arizona's loss be attributed to no JadaWilliams or are they just not very good this...
Caught the LSU exhibition games on ESPN app. Richard was sneaky good. She will get minutes. Seems underrated coming out of high school albeit inferior competition but i definitely liked what I saw of her.
I’m a fan of Jada Richard, I remember watching her drop 40 on Mikaylah Williams in HS. Not sure how much she plays this year with the depth but from all accounts reading they expect big things from her.
While not gaining national attention does suck for some of these athletes, that could also be a positive for them. The push for athletes to go on the shoe circuit doesn't always benefit them from what I'm starting to observe. Going under the radar also helps keep expectations realistic versus...
Not that you can take much out of exhibition but one thing is certain, guard depth/speed and quickness is night and day compared to last years team.
Sheppard was a steal in my opinion, and will be a good one for the tigers and freshmen Jada Richard (who received non stop praise all fall)...
I may be one of the few actually pretty excited to see what this LSU team looks like this year with Angel Reese no longer there and Hailey Van Lith having moved on. I think things will be much more tame around the program this year and it will be a good for all IMO. Despite a botched 2024 recruiting class...
