Ogundeko now has offers from Ohio State, Stanford and Georgia Tech on top of what he already has.

Alabama and TAMU may offer soon.

So he commits to UConn, big time D1 schools come calling, offer money and job opportunities for his foreign born mother, and he then decommits. Look at the offers he has now. Interesting.

Offered TE A.J. Branisel today......I think that is our 6th TE offered

Gee I wonder if they are trying to add depth to the TE position. hah. Good we need it. What can you tell us about him? Any info?

Sweet! The picture says enough. The best part is the quote near the bottom, "the TE position nationally is very deep for 2013" I know rankings are just that rankings before these kids prove anything at the collegiate level, but I think we see the 2013 class include AT LEAST 2 TE's. It will be nice to have some TE depth again. IMO it is one of the most important and most often overlooked positions on the offensive side. Kid looks like a gamer. Good athlete with good size and hands.

I had a chance to attend the Rivals Md High 7 on 7 on 3/17 . It was a star studded event with Red lion Christian dominating from start to finish. Kenny Bigelow should be the nations top DL period!! A few UConn recruits really stood out from my area in NJ. Buddy Brown from Williamstown HS was his usual model of consistency. I believe he's up to over 15 offers with UConn being one of them. The big surpise and talk of the building was Julian Allen Washington Township. 17 yr olds aren't suppose to look like that kid. Looks like Kellen Winslow Jr. His team performed poorly, yet when he took the field cameras started flashing. Including my own http://sz0133.wc.mail.comcast.net/s...904(1).JPG?auth=co&loc=en_US&id=361081&part=2. Spoke to his father said "Julian was 6-4 212lbs and had just come from Temple's spring practice and going back up to UConn for spring practice. Believe many new schools are in the mix and I stood next a Syracuse alum who immediately got on his cell phone and called Rob Moore and said "you gotta see this kid". Great event. David Sills (USC offered in 7th grade) now looks like a wise decision by them even though still questionable.

I'm skeptical about this...I'm going to place a question to John Battle on rivals and see what he thinks

There was a guy a year or two ago that didn't really understand the recruiting process and after competing in a high school all-star game he made a big announcement that he has committed to Illinois......only he didn't have an offer from them

It was really embarrassing and it was due to the fact that he didn't understand the process.....I'm thinking that is what might be going on here

I don't think that is the case with ogundeko. He is blowing up because he is a beast.

I think it is a credit to P and our staff that Ogundeko is still even interested in us, given what is happening with his recruiting. One day, we will defy the odds and someone with a good relationship with the staff will turn down more prestigious offers from big time schools and join us. Maybe he'll be the one.

You just have to look at Ogundeko's highlights then see that picture of his body on Rivals to realize this kid is the real deal. The fact that he has Vanderbilt and Stanford interested tells you he is solid academically. In other words, this kid is the total package all the way around. Rivals has him as 5.5, three star, but barring injury and with proper coaching, (like from the guy who coached DeMarcus Ware:) ) he's probably a pro in a couple of years.

Forgot Eastern Pa. also represented in the top 250. This list is super impressive! Hopefully UConn can get some of my South Jersey kids that are on the list, but it shows that the program is definately in the hunt for the regions best athletes.

agreed with bl, i love the way P is recruiting. I have no illusions that we should be Ohio State in the recruiting game, but the fact that he still has this kid around campus when he is getting those offers is just awesome.

hope so also. i thought we offered him back early this year but i don't see him with a offers list anywhere.

mcd-duke offer

edit not sure what i was doing there.

Jack McDonald-duke offer today....

offer out to darius paige

I am not sure why it bothers me but on the 247 site it does not list Noel Thomas as a UConn commit. I have not heard anything to indicate he is not committed. Has anyone heard anything or is this just a non intentional emission on the part of the 247 site.

noel is a solid verbal. 247 doesn't have a guy that covers us/ne really so they update our stuff when they get a chance like once a month or becuase something big(like a **** recuit commits) happens. they just haven't filled out his profile after they orginally ranked him which was a couple weeks before he commited. thats all. they will eventually. a guy like barone is on there becuase the 247 rep guy for pa picked up that he commited to uconn and took care of it for the site. i hope someday soon we get a board on there and some more attention but for right now it is what it is.

Fill me in!

Fl kid, has a offer from lville i think. might have spelt his name worng. i'll add him to the thread later.

pj walker got a uconn offer

Just went to 24/7 and saw an odd posting - they say we have 2 commits, but they classify Noel as "0" and say UConn is a favorite - they do not officially list him as a commit. I don't understand their site or categories, so it might be that they wait until they can confirm w/the kid or the school. Just found it an odd way to show a commit.

hmm just checked and hes no longer listed. i think its a glitch in the system or something, his profile says hes commited its just not under our list there. w/e it will get fixed eventually. hes a solid commit and i have talked to him and confirmed myself a while back so its all good. love the kids attitude and its truly great that we are keeping in state talent like him home! we all know hes a commit, the site will get it right eventually. can't wait for our next commit, PP has me excited about recruiting(as u guys know)....

Add DT Jay Hayes 6'5 270lbs from Poly Prep in N.Y to the list, he holds offers from Uconn and Rutgers
he is in the 2014 thread

New name to watch- Terrell Huff (Windsor)-cb/wr

Here is a not to old Tevin Montgomery article from a PSU blog

kingsley opara got a uconn offer, man he would be a nice get.

Schneider Jean-Baptiste was on campus today. local kid...

Josh Klecko got a uconn offer...

opara is excited about uconn and usf(will offer soon). he talks to white on the phone...

-tre bell-gator
-laviano got a bc offer. makes me feel good about chances of boyle staying home!

new england guys down at uva this weekend.

-Ayone else notice that purdue is really trying to be what Iowa was the past 5 years here in the northeast. They are making a clear push east for recruits. Wonder who on that staff has the connections.

-I like the way were trying to build a name in CO/TX

-Having a real hard time guaging the group of guys from ma that are all highly sought after. Especially because PSU recruiting is going so well that they already have ships locled up at a couple spots these guys play at. Hurst was a PSU dreamer and visited there last week I read. They don't have a ship right now for him, unreal what that staff has done so quick. I have a hard time buying that all these guys are going to BCU considering the other offers they all have and how bad BCU is. I mean how can those kids look at that bubble over the field up there and then look at practice facilities at other big time schools and honestly pick BCU? If they want to stay close to home I understand and I know a place with good facilities thats game morning driveable for all of them but anyway lol...

-I would love to see a acurate updated list of all the offers the kid Montelus has. You can add Miami to that list. Hes going to visit Florida soon. I can't wait for MF and BCU fans to tell us about MA's fab 5.

-J Beckford(hyde) was up at UMass this weekend.

Zach Benjamin will be up here sometime soon for a visit, will also hit bcu/umass on the trip also.

laray was up at cuse this weekend.

SPEED!!!!

anyone have a update on whats up with ogundeko? someone posted that he visited again with his hs coach recently.

on rivals there is a barone article up. says hes going to visit for the spring game.

news soon on Marquise Watson it sounds like.

hurst going to tosu this weekend. but dont worry, bc is in great shape still! :D

tevin montgomery got a uva offer

-ogun is up to 17 offers. wow, would be a crazy get for us at this point but it seems we are his staying home choice vs going far away. fingers crossed!
-j beckford visited today, hope we offer first.
-mcdonald got a miami offer, hes got a lot now.
-calling montelus to nd this weekend...
-javon taylor visited yesterday. i think hes going to have a blow up fall as a senior at wilbur cross. hes a great looking ath and i think him as a db would be great, look for PP and staff to go after him next fall. he is boys with rennick bryan, think we are the favorite for him.
-we have some type of connection to us at north stars sports training in pk, ny.

on rivals they have some of the spring game kids going. as i find more on twitter and elsewhere i will edit this post.
-dhameer bradley
-daikiel shorts
-julian allen
-dwight clark
-matt barone(commit)
-shane rafter
-rashaad coward
-matt walsh (future uconn fullback/lb!!! :D)
-kiy hester

Jon Hicks, Ellis Marder, Clax and Zach Rugg are all coming as well....maybe they can talk some of the 2013 guys into coming to UConn

nice. btw i saw a picture of clax recently, holy cow that boy is yoked!!! he may make a 2 deep right away.

Is there a good source for the CT prospect rankings? Just curious? thx

there isn't enough attention given to ct as a whole for rankings but the past couple years things have gotten alot better. here are most of the spots i go for ct kids info.

I know I posted he had an offer because John Battle on tos posted about it. I'm not sure why it doesn't show up in the tos' database. I guess we'll find out soon enough when an article is hopefully posted about his visit.
