I remember last year he was at the airport for the final 4 & then disappeared at boarding time. He later said at his age you can feel sick out of nowhere.
Another year older now, he did make the trip to Boston.
It must be crazy watching this program you built from the ground up be at this...
Can confirm it’s one of the wildest bar themes I’ve ever experienced. Would need to Uber to and from AMP from that one tho. That’s more Wayland Square/East Side where AMP is downtown next to mall.
There aren’t any UConn bars like there are with Legends in NYC.
The bars closest to the AMP will be filled with PC fans and long lines.
Go just a bit further out and pick any of those.
Could even get yourself lit at Dave and Busters at the Mall if you want to “pre-game” in multiple ways.
I know PC has a great home court advantage at the Dunk/AMP so as a UConn grad that lives in Prov, I splurged and bought closer than usual tickets. Will be to the side of the UConn bench in 119
Thanks. Some of them have heard of Michael’s Taproom so that seems to be the defacto choice for now. Do you know if any have game audio?
I might call and ask ahead of time about Sat specifically
Going to be in Danbury area on Saturday and need a place to watch!
Not familiar with the area.
Does anyone know which bars would be good to watch and might have game audio?
Any places alum typically watch? Most of the group is 2014-15 alumni
I’m 31 nearing 32 so this injury happened around age 12 & has cemented as my central issue for the last 15 years.
In that time due to instability -
I’ve hurt my rotator cuff 3x (but never had any major RC injuries thankfully)
developed a click & crunch in my neck when turning left
Tension...
slamson has that issue right now and where if he gets a solid dunk on offense, he’s too hyped on defense and picks up a foul. I expect them to mention that on tape. We can’t have him committing that many fouls, especially with Clingan not 100% from his foot injury. Might take a couple more weeks...
I used to say I think he has ADHD with the way he would get disinterested or make poor impulsive decisions off the court. He is the type that needs someone to hold him accountable every step of the way. With the right psychiatric approach and mentorship, he could probably earn a 2-way and then...
I recently discovered after a EMG nerve test I have mild LTN paralysis from an injury I sustained in 2005.
This has been the first diagnosis that makes sense in this long battle for an answer of why my right scapula wings and I have dysfunctional shoulder movements. It also explains why PT...
Bump this thread to remind you to get a ticket if you haven’t. It has been a long time since we played UNC and at MSG. What a treat it will be to watch our guys show who the current blue blood is.
Oh I thought you were talking about the Jimmy V Classic tickets. I can’t go out to Kansas for that game but am hoping to make it to MSG for the first time for a UConn game.
I was flipping out during the Gtown game. I can't really remember any time a UConn player made that 1 hander Joey C made against Gtown. It was such a unique play that most players would never practice. He just cut and the rest is history.
He prob thinks Luke will become a head coach somewhere so won’t wear UConn gear. In the future pics of him sporting UConn could get used by the other fan bases
I had the same thought last night. I knew he’s 6’5” but couldn’t remember if I’d seen him dunk yet. Other ones probably weren’t as epic. Reminds me of when I first saw Neils Giffey lift off.
I turned 19 while watching us win the 2011 National Championship. Unfortunately I watched it at Eastern CT state in the dorms. I transferred to UConn that fall.
