They weren't as mighty as they thought they were.If you want a good schadenfreude laugh, go to their recruiting page on their board and look at the Drew Fielder thread. Oh how the mighty...
More like raw high school centers don't get to D1 recruitment unless they are huge and long, and being huge/long makes you an elite shot blockers/rim runner more or less by itself (paired with at least a little bit of a motor). It is damning with faint praise in a way, but that's the gamble with raw guys.I feel like these evaluator guys ALWAYS call these raw prospects elite rim runners.
This is exactly my reaction and if he can block shots and flush it was the 2 things Brimah could do that were very important. So with great coaching and strengthening over the years maybe he can be a lot more than that? His video highlights remind me so much of Amida Brimah...In a good way.
He's an elite rim protector. He still has the body of a teenager, but his length and defensive instincts give me the feels.
Although Youssouf has only been playing for 5 -6 years he looks a little more skilled than Amida. But I am only basing it on the clips posted. His video highlights remind me so much of Amida Brimah...In a good way.
