Good morning Mau. Yeah the guy couldn't shoot to save his life . He was like 0 for 18 from the foul line before one bounced in me and the wife jumped up and cheered I still remember it . No Kemba but NYC tough.
Ridiculous statements. He wasn’t a great shooter but he stayed within himself and shot almost 44% for his career as a point guard.Difference is Kemba was a shooter and Taliek was maybe the worst shooting and scoring guard in UConn history. Not fair to put them in the same sentence.
I'd definitely prefer two grad transfers and focus on a big '19 class.Hopeful we can add Xavier and a grad transfer. Would like our class numbers to be a bit more balanced again.
agreed. especially considering this kid doesn't appear to be a great shooterI'd definitely prefer two grad transfers and focus on a big '19 class.
if he comes here and can just give us his freshman year production then it's a win.If Kassoum Dakwe is healthy like his freshman year (7.1/5.3) I’d take him in a heartbeat..... very athletic and active. Actually looks like a Hurley type of player too, smallish but tough.
Agreed. Unless we hit a homer and land a reclassified LecqueI'd definitely prefer two grad transfers and focus on a big '19 class.

Absolutely. KO wrote the Bible on mismanaging scholarships and not taking the bird in the hand. That was his doctorate. Bruce Brown et alI'm not playing the "hope for multiple 5*s in the 2019 class" game.
I'm taking 4* Xavier this year and finishing out the class with a grad transfer (or Lecque if he reclassifies and chooses to come here).
Ricky Moore is and always will be my favorite player. I emulated the guy as a youngster. He was the tough gritty leader/defensive stalwart this team hasn't had in a while. Miss the days of Ricky, Freeman, Ray, Anderson, Kemba, Shabazz, Emeka, Boone.I will never take away the “warrior “ label that I can promise. Right there with Ricky Moore on the defensive side fighting through picks always, never quit effort.
Worse than couldn't shoot Taliek couldn't score. If he drove he'd either miss the shot or get fouled then miss his FT's. Teams would sag off him and make it more difficult for us to score and rebound. He couldn’t shoot. Just a fact. Probably knocked down shots in practice but couldn’t in the games. Very important player who helped win the BET and a national championship so nothing but love for him from me.

Agree.Kids ranked under #200 everywhere. Think Hurley can do better holding out until 19.
T was a typical NYC guard - go 100 mph at the basket as soon as you get the ball until you score, draw a foul, miss or lose the handle. He was definitely offensive minded in HS. He just needed to expand that to be a college point.Taliek wasn’t my type of preferred guard (love offensive minded lead guards like Bazz/Kemba) but he had a fine career, was a tough kid and we had BG next to him to shoot. and he won a National Title! That can never be taken from him. Bashers just stop - many uconn Pgs can’t say that!

I doubt it. I looked up Deshler...population 747, Small town Nebraska.
Are you just saying that because you saw @Chief00 rocking a Kisunas jersey at senior night?

Nobody has bashed him.Taliek wasn’t my type of preferred guard (love offensive minded lead guards like Bazz/Kemba) but he had a fine career, was a tough kid and we had BG next to him to shoot. and he won a National Title! I think if we have a crappy 2018, none of those great kids will want to be here in 2019. It’s hard enough with 2 back to back losing seasons. Three?Agree.Kids ranked under #200 everywhere. Think Hurley can do better holding out until 19.
