So either people lied to the beat writers or diaco changes his mind or he is starting
Nothing is easy with diaco

I am home sick, I usually miss 1 game a year due to illness.this year missed 2. My son is home due to 4 broken ribs and a sore hip. He usually goes without me but not this time.

Just said on tv they were going to start him week 6 against cincinatti, but he got an injury. Goes to show the confidence they had in bs. Here we go!

O my god. Worse than Tim Boyle decision

Everybody like that 3rd down throw? fans calling for Shirreffs to come back in 3. . . .2 . . . .1

This is just not a smart thing to do. You are at a school that has been starving for good QB play. Keep his redshirt, let him have his 4 years.

This is DD: Diaco Desperation.

It reeks.
I agree but if you're Diaco, you're thinking you may never coach this kid otherwise. Now I believe Diaco is coming back no matter what, but if the kid gets hurt next fall camp its Shirreffs by default.

Temple is going to be chomping at the bits. The O-line has had what, 4 days max to adjust to a new guy behind center? I don't get it. Blow a guys redshirt for three games and two of those games the opposition will be more than amped to really stick it to UConn? Sounds like somebody is desperate to win these last three games.
Bingo. But I agree. Makes no sense.

Unmitigated disaster. Not a D1 QB at this time.

This will be more of Diaco deflecting. Instead of addressing how miserable the 3-6 start to the season was, even if we lose the last 3, he will continue to preach how valuable the learning experience is for DW

Diaco said Donovan Williams asked to have the redshirt taken off. Said Williams is the starter for the rest of the season.

And so shall it be! Reminds me of the OL managing our last play victory over Navy.

FWIW -- In the post game interview w/ JD - Diaco told DW after the Sunday conversation to go back and have a discussion w/ his parents. Said it was a family decision to play.

Funny I was thinking about the secret Bones start at Pitt earlier this week for some random reason.

Would anyone care to remember the score of that game....

This whole story sounds off.

I was one of Diaco's earliest critics - but I agree on this one. Maybe he is doing it for the wrong reason - to try to save his job but if it helps us win I am for it. That simple.

If we want to be big time in football we need to start thinking that way. Play to win.
Besides I can't bear watching BS play.
