Well there is a reason I am not the HC!Diaco may not be here to coach him.
I agree but if you're Diaco, you're thinking you may never coach this kid otherwise. Now I believe Diaco is coming back no matter what, but if the kid gets hurt next fall camp its Shirreffs by default. This is just not a smart thing to do. You are at a school that has been starving for good QB play. Keep his redshirt, let him have his 4 years.
This is DD: Diaco Desperation.
It reeks.
Fireable offense
Coming from the guy who sits behind glass in the Taj Mahal. Karma, Biotch.Sally
Bingo. But I agree. Makes no sense.Temple is going to be chomping at the bits. The O-line has had what, 4 days max to adjust to a new guy behind center? I don't get it. Blow a guys redshirt for three games and two of those games the opposition will be more than amped to really stick it to UConn? Sounds like somebody is desperate to win these last three games.
Diaco said Donovan Williams asked to have the redshirt taken off. Said Williams is the starter for the rest of the season.

And so shall it be! Reminds me of the OL managing our last play victory over Navy.
FWIW -- In the post game interview w/ JD - Diaco told DW after the Sunday conversation to go back and have a discussion w/ his parents. Said it was a family decision to play.
