OT: What kind of Car do you drive? Why is it better than the car posted above you?

2017 Audi S3. Stage 1 Tuned to about 380hp and 350 ft-lbs. Puts me right about 310 whp and 300 wtq. 0-60 in about 4.0 seconds flat, close to 30 mpg highway. I’m 22 so not the smartest choice out of college lol. RS3 was the goal but I’m not thaaaat dumb

Yeah it’s insane how much they hold back this 2.0T from factory. The unitronic tune really wakes it up and it feels as smooth as stock. Stage 2 would get me around 350 whp. I drove my buddies APR Stage 2 Mk7 R and it’s hilarious fun.

Top and doors come off, it’s a one ton truck so it totes lots of stuff and it goes anywhere regardless if there’s a road or not.

I'll weigh in with probably the most random/ridiculous/no one else has one/fun car. I drive a 2015 orange BMW Z4 convertible. Stupid small inside - true 2 seater, can't fit people over 6' tall. Not the best handling two seater, but still super fun. Insane twin turbo 6 cylinder that has oodles of torque and acceleration from 60 to 90 is stunning. Fun hard top convertible that turns heads. Orange - not much more to be said there. Extended orange interior - when I picked the car up after ordering it special, the car was surrounded by BMW car sales people from a high volume dealer because they had never seen one after several years in production.

If they really do go all-new and aren't just copying the Everest then it stands a chance. I'm hoping it competes with the Wrangler and has a removable top

As am I. I’m not going Stage 2, so hopefully I don’t run into any DSG or engine problems. You can make a mk7 GTI just as quick if not faster than my S3 from a roll without doing much. Pretty amazing

Wait these Z4’s came with an N54 option? I assumed it was only available with the N55! I suppose that make sense though considering the 335is came with the N54.

With the GTI I'm more concerned with electrical Gremlins. They're already chopping roofs to fix the sunroof and it's not even a fix lol. I also hate that I have to get an SE for the LSD. No reason they can't offer it as an option in the base

The SE is the performance pack right? Which gets you the LSD, an extra 10hp up to 220, better brakes, exterior trim, etc? Worth it imo

They changed it for 2018. No more performance package but the SE basically took it's place. Some small differences. I really just want the LSD for snow

Montego blue '94 Mazda RX-7. Original stock. Bought it in '98 for less than $20k. 60k miles now. Sits in the garage. Kids. Sub 5 secs 0-60. Incredible handling. Tested at 0.98G on the skid pad, and it drives like it. It has done cloverleaf highway ramps at 70 coming off accelerating to 90 through the turn. Crazy torque when the big blower (#2) kicks in around 5k. Try not to be in a corner when you do it. In 4th gear, 70-105 happens in a flash. Fun.

The photo below isn't isn't my car but close enough. I will eventually put the bigger intercooler and straight down pipes on it. Probably some bigger brakes. An Audi Q5 2.0 is where most of my driving happens now. Nice design & handling(for a small-mid SUV), good mileage, features. Crap reliability. Last VW product for me. And my mechanic dad taught me how to take care of a car. Highlander Hybrid or MDX coming soon to replace it.

Ford engineer has been quoted as saying it’s not the Everest, will have a removable top and Wrangler is the target (sort of). My guess and hope is that it’s like a wrangler unlimited but better on road and worse off road. That’s what I need.
