I wouldn't trade it for a single car so far listed in this thread.
Is it true that all Jeep owners are 5'10" or shorter?

I wouldn’t know. I am. Mrs 8893 always says that doesn’t matter when we’re horizontal though.

They hold their resale amazingly well. I traded in a 2004 Wrangler last year. Soft top, 190,000 miles, no power anything, no AC, needed brakes and tires and got 5,000 from the dealer.
For sure! I wanted one 11 years ago when I got my jeep patriot. It has served me well but it' boring and under powered. I'l be getting a jl within the next year. The question is hardtop or soft top and what trim. I figure I've got a year to figure tha out. Also need a lift kit and tires wheels. Got time to save for those too.

2014 Audi A4 S-Line

It’s a car and will be expensive over 100k miles.

How long have you owned it? Did you get it CPO? Do you think it's worth it? I'll hang up and to listen to your answer.

I have a hard top with a pulley system rigged on the roof of my garage. When it's warm enough, I pull the top off and lock it at the top, then put the soft top on for the summer. The pulley was about 175.00, the soft top was maybe 450.00.

I bought it used with 49k on it for $21,500. I have 77k on it now and really the only thing it’s ever needed are brakes, tires, and fluids. It’s off warranty.

The car is great - I love it. But I’m scared to death about approaching the 100k mark. I heard horror stories with the electronic steering system, timing belt and water pump, and electronic issues near them.

77k and the clutch is still great, gearbox feels fine, drives smoothly, very comfortable, and it looks great.

Yea I've read about those. I dont have a garage though. In VA we dont get a ton of snow, but we get a few storms and every once in a while we get a good 8+ inches. Im thinking that on a soft top might cause problems. Also the soft tops dont have a defroster I think. But i really want to have the ability to put the top down all the way. We'll see happens. But yea, I dont have a garage and nowhere to really store it when I take it off.

Why don't you tell me, Mr "I drive an old Miata"? Did that car come with male pattern baldness and leather driving gloves, or did you acquire those on your own?

You must be confusing me with the guy who owns your dream car, but why am I not surprised?

Look up "original 1965 AC Cobra and original 1965 Shelby GT350" before you make additional embarrassing comments. Anyone with any knowledge of cars knows they are icons in the racing and collecting world.

Bought a 2007 Honda Accord brand new for 23K. Just hit 100K miles and haven't had a payment in 7 years. Only tires, brakes, and oil changes. When this the bed in like 10 more years I'll be buying another brand new Accord, in whatever year it is. #valuetown

Nah. I hadn’t a soft top in CT for 10+ years. It’s a little colder but in VA it would be a non issue.

Yeah. I did. The Cobra screams mid life crisis, baldy.

This is my counterpart to by FJ45 pick-up that was shown earlier. Hard top in the winter. - no top in the summer - rain suit and squeegee for rainy days.

Holds value well

2011 Toyota RAV4 V6 Limited 126,000 miles runs like brand new. With 270 HP it has all the power I need. AWD is like a tank in snow with regular tires. Free lifetime regular oil changes. Only had to replace wear parts and shocks due to driving from CT to Manhattan, NJ, Long Island for work. All leather, heated front seats, premium JBL audio including subwoofer, bluetooth, back up camera in the rear view mirror, sunroof etc. Only thing it doesn't have is in dash GPS which wasn't available with the premium audio package. Bought in Feb 2013 used and saved about $8k with only 12k miles at the time. At current mileage it is just broken in. I figure I got another 100,000 miles easy. My wife has the same version only a 2007 which has over 210,000 miles and still runs and looks great.

Uh...are you sure that the math added up? Not that it matters now.

I replaced a 2008 Honda Element (loved that car) with a last-on-the-lot 2015 Jeep Renegade. I miss the Elements amazing storage capacity (especially with rear seats removed) and those amazing clamshell rear doors. But it was clunky and uncomfortable. The Renegade is comfortable and handles great. Love zipping through traffic and squeezing through tight spaces with it. HEated seats and steering wheel are cold weather Godsends.

But the best thing of all are my new vanity Whaler plates that make my Jeep better than the cars mentioned above.

I wouldn't get a 2012 with 14k miles for 19k in 2015. Of course the financing/interest things adds up but I was the only owner brand new. I'm sure I'm overpaying so to speak but starting all over I think I'd be paying just as much or more financing a 2016 Maxima with may have started at 35k. I may dump 35k total into my 2012. Besides I love it's look

worse, you're often mistaken for a statie
That's not a bad thing.

I drive a black Explorer Sport. Most cops wave or nod at me, and most other drivers go out of their ways to let me pass or yield the right of way.
