Someone's gotta lead; here's my chin.

I'm happy with my 2008 Prius, fully paid for, needing nothing but wear parts at 137k miles, and my miles per year are decreasing.

I've already had my radical prostatectomy, so I don't care who's bigger.

Take it away . . .

Late 2000s Chevrolet HHR 2LT.

Do I really need to explain how that is better than a Prius?

03 Celica GT, just over 180k

Badass little front wheel drive hatchback that took me through multiple rough New England winters at UConn and in Cambridge, then the Vegas desert, now up and down the CA coast, loaded the thing up as much as I could and drove it across the country when I moved out West. Just happened to catch the UConn-BYU game in Provo on my way to Vegas in 2015

Besides it being a Toyota and its long-lasting quality, not much to say besides personal sentimental value. Will probably have to retire it here in CA when I eventually head back East; wouldn’t put it through another cross-country trip, and I’m not sure how many more Northeast winters it can handle

2012 Hyundai Genesis.

On days I drive to work it's 55-60 miles each way.

Car has all the bells and whistles
Heated/cooled leather seats, power everything, Bluetooth, etc.

Rides on 18" touring tires so I don't have to go grossly expensive on replacements.

3.8L RWD has all the HP and torque and gets about 25-27 mpg on regular fuel. A little over 300hp. Great highway cruiser.

I bought it as a certified pre-owned with 35k for half its original price almost 3 years ago. Tires and fluid changes is all I have done.

Come Jan 2018 it will become my son's first car. He's already 6'2" and growing. He needs a big car to drive safely.

I'll either replace it with a Genesis G80 or Kia Stinger GT.

2008 Nissan Altima. 125k miles, but now live 3 miles (all backroads) from work. Hoping it'll last me several more years.

2008 Volkswagen R32 with 44k miles. Gotta sell it in the next few months, though, since the wife and I are expecting our first this fall. Probably getting a Compact SUV of some sort to replace it. Definitely won’t be as fun to drive.

2017 Toyota Tacoma. The model has had incredible reliability over the years (we will see how 2017 holds up) and I believe holds its value better than any car on the market--I paid only 5k or so more for a 2017 as opposed to a 2011 on the lot. Its 4x4, manual transmission. Absolutely no bells and whistles but fun truck.

Tesla Model S

I have mixed feelings. I love the technology and the concept but the fit and finish is definitely an issue. It squeaks and rattles and sits low so potholes are an issue. Also, it is not a cold weather car if it gets to teens or below. I would say that my feeling about the car is waning the longer I own it but my wife absolutely loves it and the fact that we don't stop for gas anymore so probably locked in for good you know happy wife...
