What are you binge watching?

I started The Bear's new season. Episode 1 was...boring I guess? Does it get better or is this show cooked because it takes itself too seriously (like all the characters do).
You hit it on the head, it takes itself way too seriously. The whole season is annoying and goes nowhere. It culminates with a bunch of chefs talking about how important they are.

It doesn't move the storyline of the restaurant forward. Each episode is basically a deep dive into the backstory of a major character. It can be considered self-indulgent or useful info depending on one's attitude.

Little P.S.A. "Andor" Season 1 is available on Hulu. Not sure how Disney let some of their exclusive content become available to people who aren't paying for Disney+...but I for one will take the opportunity to check it out. I've heard it was a really good show.

I think the game plan is that eventually there will all be under one subscription, Disney+, Hulu and ESPN plus

Eventually? That's what I have now.

I have Hulu w/ ESPN+, don't have Disney+, don't really desire to have it.

I'm not binging, but 5 episodes into Andor. Still enjoying it. I kind of look at it as a bridge between the prequel trilogy (if it had been done competently) and Rogue One. There's a lot going on. Political intrigue, and a look behind the curtain of the bureaucracy of the Empire. One small cell of the resistance. And a handler that is pulling the strings. The life of people just scraping by on a planet that is a bit remote from the Capital, but not far end of the galaxy remote. Not very well known cast other than Diego Luna and Stellan Skarsgard, I guess Adria Arjona to a lesser degree.

It took me most of the week to finally get around to the most recent episode of White Lotus. Didn't even make it half way thru, I'm pulling the plug. 3 1/2 episodes and it's still gone absolutely nowhere. This season is just terrible.

Reacher is still pretty good. 6 episodes, I think there are 8 this season so it's getting close to the finale.

I've still been enjoying The Hunting Party.

The Pitt Episode 11 is...interesting. Several scenes where I covered my eyes.

For people saying Yellowjackets. Worthwhile? I started it and it seemed dumb.

Wheel of Time Season 3 is back out, at least the first three episodes. This show started really slowly in season 1, but got a lot better.

Reacher Season 3 is disappointing. I'll finish it, but it has gotten pretty ridiculous. Way too much needlessly killing people.

I like a bunch of the actresses in it, but I just couldn't do it. Watched maybe 3 or 4 episodes. I was kind of interested in the flashback stuff, what happened out there in the wilderness? But the current day was so dull I totally lost interest.

Yellowjackets is a lot like Lost to me. I agree that the past timeline is far more interest than the present timeline.

Yellow jackets is definitely a slow burn for the present timeline in season 1. Season 2 is pretty insane though. Season 3 is good so far.

Say Nothing on Hulu, peeled off the first two episodes last night. It's based on a true story about The Troubles in Northern Ireland. First two episodes were good.

That was really well done. Loved it.

Apple TV. Vietnam: The War That Changed America. I was just a kid, but my cousin was killed there in 1968. The bloodiest year of the war. Worth your time. Pretty fair and balanced documentary.

It's very well done. Big reason why I could never fully hate Nixon. I drew an 80 when I turned 18 and was likely to get called when Nixon called off the draft in '74. Glad I missed that mess. I have great respect for guys who had to deal with being over there with the heat, humidity and an enemy that didn't play war like us, all with the brass not having a plan to win the thing.

What does this have to do with this thread?
His videos come up on my feed and I end up watching them. This happens frequently. Like binging. But if it belongs in another thread, by all means. Entertainment perhaps
