It was a bad spot and it was inexcusable Mora and Sammis didn't know what was happening on the field. Spot needed to he challenged and you can't ever run the wrong play because you don't know what down it is. It was just really terrible coaching.
That being said, it didn't seal the game. The refs sealed the game with the blatant no call at the end. We either tie or win the game if they do their jobs.
We actually did lose because of that no call.We didn't lose because of that no call...
We didn't lose because of that no call...
It certainly didn’t help our chances of winning. Pretty weird take.We didn't lose because of that no call...
Well, it is what the announcers were saying on TV and it sure seemed that way with the call he made. This is a crazy comment and frankly uncalled for
It was obvious they didn't know what down it was, that's why they didn't challenge it and ran a passing play when it was 3rd and an inch.they did the same thing on the next fourth down and they made it. Everybody's only guessing that they thought it was first down.
Nope but it kept us from winningWe didn't lose because of that no call...
Mora not holding anything back on the refs in his press conference.
I'm sitting on the 30. Ref blew that call

Ya I was totally confused from section 204 and had assumed he had the 1st on that spot and the passing play was a 1st down.It was obvious they didn't know what down it was, that's why they didn't challenge it and ran a passing play when it was 3rd and an inch.
By knowing what's happening on the field. Alerting the refs it was a first down and telling them you're challenging the spot. How do you expect them to have challenged it? If they thought it was a first down, they would've taken more time to set up.

It's why coaches have challenges.
Well, at least you have everyone lambasting the call on national TV. Makes me feel better for UConn to get some sympathy for all the crap calls and no-calls we always have to deal with. There are bad calls, and then there are calls so bad that the game announcers signed off saying that it was bad for UConn, bad for football and even bad for the team that won because we’ll never know how this football game would have ended.
Absolutely.do you think it was a first down?
Refs was staring right at it. That wasn't a mistake.Refs didn't miss the call, they didn't call it because they didn't want to call it.
Not only did the defender hit him way before the ball got there, he wrapped his arm around him and spun the receiver around.
It would be an inexcusable no call in the first quarter. Not calling that with the game on the line is just disgusting.
The kids deserve so much better than this.
By a yard live and on the replaydo you think it was a first down?
