Exactly. That’s all most of us really want to see. He can still start and he will still get plenty of minutes. But he needs to have less of a green light and be held accountable for his mistakes more often. He can however have his minutes slightly reduced and be sat when he gets out of control.
Yeah I want to know if this is true. Would love to see the last possession again. If it is true I’m even more disappointed in Vital than I was before, and that’s saying a lot.So did CV cut off Al getting the ball for the last possession?

It's not accurate, in many cases not realistic and it's derisive. It's every bit as out of control as the players being criticized. Classic case of I despise what I am.It’s gotten beyond criticism IMO.

I don't hate the idea of bringing CV off the bench and pairing Bouk with Al more often. I just think last night, Bouk had an awful game and benching CV for him wasn't the answer (replacing one awful performance for another). Then again, I'm not really sure what the answer was last night. (Mostly) Everybody played terribly.
I agree he shouldn’t be the guy. But do we have a guy? I thought bouk after watching in Charleston, but the last few games he hasn’t been able to get his own shot or drive that well. The team needs a guy.I’m okay with Vital starting and still getting a lot of minutes. He does a lot of great things out there. Most notably his fierce mentality.
But I don’t think he should be “our guy” in crunch time situations. I want to know if you agree with me at least on this point?
And overall we need to find a way to get Bouk more run. Especially in late game situations. But I think you agree with me on this part already
I feel like I was watching not just a replay of last night buWatched it. To be fair it looks like he didn’t realize Gilbert was behind him. I’ll give Vital the benefit of the doubt here.
That said, I don’t think he should look upon himself as “the guy” in this situation. He has never proved he can be and has actually proved the opposite on many occasions.
He’s a great leader in most instances, he needs to extend his leadership to allow for more humility and defer to others in these situations.
I was worried about this happening even before the season started. Part of being a leader is knowing your limitations and knowing how to delegate.
The one thing I liked was the leadership from Polley afterward. Grabbed his downtrodden teammate and pulled everyone together.Of course that happened. There's 9.5 seconds remaining. A player doesn't sit around and wait to see who gets the rebound. Every player needs to go for the ball in that moment. CV was quicker and a better rebounder. He doesn't watch to see if Al can get the ball. It's game over if an Indiana player grabs the rebound. Suggesting this action was selfish is nothing more than an attempt to make a dig on CV.
I didn't say anything about it but I did know if we had a chance at the end it would be Vital turning it over or forcing up a prayer, could see that coming from a mile away.Of course that happened. That’s the problem, we really don’t right now so CV has took it upon himself bc no one else has.I agree he shouldn’t be the guy. But do we have a guy? I thought bouk after watching in Charleston, but the last few games he hasn’t been able to get his own shot or drive that well. The team needs a guy.
We have to turn Bouknight into that guy, it takes playing him more and letting him play through freshman mistakes.I agree he shouldn’t be the guy. But do we have a guy? A laThey were both awful tonight and we only lost by 3. These two kids both play hard but neither played smart or well tonight. Bad shots, missed free throws, indecisiveness, and really, really bad turnovers.
Also, why does it seem like AG has had multiple instances where he can’t come close to making anything all night and then he hits these ridiculous desperation 3’s at the end when the game is basically over?
Actually AG rotated so much in that shot that his right shoulder was facing the basket when he came down. Awful form, but it went in.Dicky V is a major tool but he is not wrong about Gilbert being off balance when he shoots. The bomb he made at the end was one of the only times he went up straight square to the basket.
Just watched the slow motion of the shot from the video Superjohn provided on previous page. Maybe I need my eyes checked but looked pretty square to me.Actually AG rotated so much in that shot that his right shoulder was facing the basket when he came down. Awful form, but it went in.
Coach isn’t going to take your advice on this. Just want you to be prepared for it.
Life ain’t fair. Deal with it.
So don’t watch then.
You’re far more soft and mentally weak than all of the players you’ve called out here. In fact, you’ve really embarrassed yourself here.

I don’t know. Doesn’t look squared up. But it went in, so...Just watched the slow motion of the shot from the video Superjohn provided on previous page. Maybe I need my eyes checked but looked pretty square to me.
I agree about Gilbert not being the same, and that he can contribute in many ways. But he is a horrible shooter, so don't shoot. KO was the same type of point guard, but he was very self-aware, and was selective on the shots he took,I do think Vital coming off bench would be better for us then Gilbert coming off bench. Gilbert not same player as he was coming out of high school due to his shoulder surgeries. His shot not the same but he does play hard
Holy cow do some people have the bar set low for Gilbert and Vital.Gilbert had 8 assists and 3 TOs. In a game where no one on our team could take care of the ball Gilbert was solid.
